i understand these guys are older, and of course this couldnt sound like the original. they start off pretty good, but its painful listening to them sing the harmonies,
I have their two first lp´s in orginal. Im born in 74. I saw them in Tradgarn 2008 Gothenburg Sweden.....They where great......Its never to late start listening...
These artists read this stuff ya know. Stop trying to make yourself look important by attacking others. Personally I like this version alot. And I'm thankful for him to share his gift. Big fan here.
@funguy29 No, it's not pathetic! It's just a different version from the original. Also: you can't compare with the original. This is acoustic, voice and keyboard.
i love the song more than just about anything that came out of the sixties, but this doesn't rock hard enough. if they knew they were going to be on tv, they could've rocked some bass and drums, or at least an extra singer to cover some of those vocal harmonies that really make the tune.
The only reason the Doors are more famous than these guys is because Jim Morrison was constantly making a public ass of himself, and then he died from being an ass. So they made a movie about it.
No its because the Doors were better and more intense.. I'm saying that as a Zombie fan. Jim was a sick person and these guys are nice mature men who are an inspiration to me. There is no future in being nuts like Jim.
Is that Colin Blustone? His voice has lost its boyish charm, but he still has it. Is that Rod Argent? His vocals detract from this performance but his piano shows the stripped down brilliance of this composition.
I caught the last 2mins of "suggs in the city" last night (19/06/08) and I'm trying to find out who the last act was, it was a black guy in a stupid hat but can't for the life of me remember his name. Can anyone help???
They really can do it all! Acoustic, rock, jazzy tunes... This deserves a 5+ stars. I love these guys. Thank you so much for posting this interesting clip. Very inspiring.
How lucky we all are to see this! Its so different- no ahh's, no echo singing from Rod (what's your name, who's your daddy) totally different, very jazzy. Just great. Though I still long for the whispery voice of young Colin, I love that these inspiring guys keep on creating great new sounds.
Excelente cancion, uno de los mejores grupos del verdadero rock clasico

he is playing the bassline on the keyboard. it is the lack of the DRUMS that makes it fall a bit flat

I like the intimacy but their vocals are too dramatic... the harmonies are terrible.
The audience hates it haha...

The original bassline is hard to duplicate- It just is always better on the recording. But the Zombies are a great concert band nevertheless.
