i love how your explaining to the new people to music how everything works! but the anotations help ALOT for people like me that know a bit more than normal people do. Tanks alot man!
You did a good job, and it's a good start, don't forget to compress the bass, and sidechain it to the kick. The mixer volume knob should duck down about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way on each Kick or Snare hit, this lets both be louder because they will not play at the same time.
Great tutorial. Just what i needed! One problem, with the second cloned 'scream' wobble you make, i can get it to wobble from lfo5 on massive, but i had it to the playlist and it does not wobble..any ideas?
i liked the mute idea for gross beat. Idk if you already know, but you can also right click the actual pattern thing in gross beat and create an automation clip like that. Each "pattern/glitch" thing then has a different corresponding value in the automation clip (you can use the copy paste value feature to get the exact one you want)
@Mu5ik4Life Thanks! Righttt, i forgot about that lol, only figured that out later after using gross beat that way lol. My bad i guess x) thanks again for the heads up.
Hey man, don't be so hard on yourself. You did the best you could! Dubstep isn't your main genre, we understand. It's pretty amazing of you to put yourself out there to help n00bs (like myself) understand the complex world of dubstep. I don't feel like you did as bad as you think you did, but I'm the same way. Everyone is their own worst critic. Keep your head up and keep going with your music. Keep expanding and adapting and learning new tricks, you'll get there eventually!
Great video! This tutorial is great because you, unlike many other people, go into the music theory behind dubstep with that graph you made! Amazing job!
69th like! which is exactly how mature i am on a scale from 1 -100!
