  • nice playing man =) ure using a fender?

  • yngwie malmsteem using customized fenders with scalloped necks. He uses fenders for metal

  • \m/ Great \m/

  • I may just be high right now, but that looked sped up to me.

  • Ah yes.last one is sped up.However, it is only backtrack. In a word, I have not been accelerated...you understand??

  • I'm high too, and I'm seeing the exact same thing... :P

  • @ehjay16 Look at his head. It's normal speed. But I recognize that it looks speed up. He is just a guitar god ^^

  • yep i was just high lol

  • @ehjay16 Just look at his right hand and by the fluency of his movements, you´ll tell he got his picking right to perform this kind of neoclassical pieces like it´s supposed to perform.

  • bravo

  • love the scallpoed frets.

  • since you did that yourself could you please give me some instructions on how to do it?

  • practice slow and gradually build speed. learn the notes in small blocks. then put the blocks together. always focus on playing clear as opposed to sloppy. then as you build in speed, you know the notes and it sounds nice and clear. so my advice is practice practice practice. at the very least an hour a day.

  • who r u talking to? lol

  • Dear Hayatebune, is your guitar scalloped all over the fretboard?? It looks like!

  • Yes that,I made it.lol

  • Are you luthier? There are a lot of guitar parts

  • very nice! i like!

  • is it just me or does the rhythm at 1:22 sound the xact same as City of the dead by outworld?

  • You have incredible INCREDIBLE technique. Outstanding tone, perfect feel. You would give any of the best shredders in the world a run of their money mate, awesome job.

One request- Could you please record Boroque & Roll by YJM. I would pay to see you play this song.

    Very impressive player man.

  • Nice!

You´ve got the same influences I do.

    Keep on rockin

  • I find it weird why all of you shredders play on a 21 fret neck :S Why not use 24 frets? ^^ Oh well still great :)

  • 1:44 what is that song called hayatebune?

  • its called, as above so below, sorry i dont know who sings it though

  • damn nice!

  • really cool! great work and playing

the songs do you play are from the amazing alcatrazz album no parole from rock and roll and from his first solo album, rising force. i think, these both albums are the best in his career. the best time for malmsteen were the 80s

  • :) . Well play.

  • The 80s, Yngwie at his best. I really do like the concerto thing he did not that long ago. 5*

    Robin :o)

  • what kind of fret board is that

icarus' dream suit opus 4 and far beyond the sun are my favorites

  • Is the strat with the scaloped fret board

  • IT's a scalopped fretboard makes you bend better or something and sometimes it can reduce speed because you have to press harder

  • Awesome playing, keep on posting videos :D

  • great tone, great skill

  • really cool

  • amazing playing dude

  • Well, I can not sleep, so I have tried to read your blog, but without big success:( - Japanese is so difficult... Fortunately, I do not need any translator to feel your music ♫. I know only 2 people whose each video makes me so much joy - you are one of them:] Thank you for another great work, 私はそれのように!

  • Molodec! Prosto molodec! Yngvie otli4nii gitarist, ti toje!!!

  • you are a great player... fantastic actually... but that isn't malmsteens 80s tone...

  • Yes,because it's hayatebune tone!lol Thanks.

  • Hey i got a stupid cheap 200 dollar strat should i scallop it?

and throw a good pickguard and stuff in or is it a waste and just buy a fender a year or 2 later?

    please help

  • Coooool!

  • 1. I likea the black scallop neck.

    2. Enjoyable

  • friggin sick!.. the malmsteen intensity is there..thats hard to do!

  • That was amazing... I've never played a guitar with scalloped frets but in my mind it seems harder than normal!

  • I have a scalloped fretboard; its much easier to play in my opinion. Once you get over the initial feeling, its much easier to bend and do vibratos.

  • How does it make it easier? is there any specific way it makea a difference? ive just never played oneso im curious :)

  • its easier to press the notes and bend cuz wih the scalloped frets, the wood between the frets r sanded out, this actualy makes the frets taller, so then its easier to bend and also makes it more sensitive, so u would need to adjust ur playing, u can see the scalloped frets if u look at the shodow and how its like a "U"

    hope it helps,

  • Before I had a scalloped board I heard that you could play faster, because it takes less pressure to make a note, but once I scalloped my board that wasn't really the case. However, it is MUCHH easier to bend. You can bend so easily. I didn't feel any major difference in speed capabilities though.

  • youll pretty much play as fast as u already were since not many people actually take time to measure how much pressure it takes to make the notes come out of a scalloped board. but yea the main reason for scalloping (at least for me and a lot of other people) is the ease of bending.

  • You're a Malmsteen fan?

    Rock On!

Keep on shreddin man, you've got the skill!

  • great tone, great playing

  • impressive technique

  • great playing buddy!

  • you are the best of the best mate

  • woooooww amazing playing!!

  • Excellent playing like always, especially Far Beyond the Sun

  • I am too...!!!!

  • Perfect..!! What's the effect..?

  • nice, i love the exact same parts on far beyond and icarus dream suit.

  • Krass good work!

  • I noticed that long time ago, lulz

  • hawt turns me on

  • Good!

  • is that his signature strat

    it looks like it

    well played
