Since a child i have been obsessed with this city :) i can not wait to gleefully get lost on the trams and gaze at the beauty of the skyline from Victoria Peak.. Not looking forward to the 16 hour flight from toronto but it will be well worth it

  • @wandaslice I hope you have a super time here this fall. That's the spirit! Getting lost on the trams and exploring all the side alleys is really where all the fun's at.

  • @wandaslice so have I

  • Wow..Want go there..but I dont know when...

  • @MrArtonis I hope your stay here when you come one day, will be a pleasant and memorable one. :)

  • Where is the place you started the ride? Because it's going so fast I can't even see the surroundings...

  • @papierkorb Shaukeiwan

  • Could you tell me what the song in this video is called? Thanks :)

  • @maddhatter000 Its called '22' by David Tao

  • Thank for the video! Remind me the day I lived in HK!

  • @Darkwind555 You're most welcome, and thanks for watching!

  • Nice video, very nice. There is nothing compared to a tram ride at night, just siting back in the chair and admire the city lights at night. That little tramway really sets Hong Kong apart, besides the old airport :)).

  • @gygyman64 Thank you too gygyman. :) I agree, 5 decades of riding the tram and I'm still not bored of it.

Agree too on Kai Tak. :)

  • Thanks for doing this right. I posted a video like this but I was handheld on a party tram while drinking. My result was fun but not great.

  • @Eclectophile Thanks for watching and the kind words. I enjoyed yours very much - wish I could afford to hire a tram just to reshoot this. :)

  • what a city

  • @kft64 Indeed. Can never get bored, and the nights are enchanting.

  • Hello, is this really 15km.

  • @frazbee1 More or less. Thanks for the interest!

  • @mistapolo You're most welcome and much thanks for watching!

I made this precisely for this reason - that someone one day can see a bit of their childhood.

  • I can't wait to go to Hong Kong...I'm going there for at least 2 months next summer (yeah, I know, summer in HK...) but I can't wait..

  • Hi Moleskineman - thanks for dropping by!

I hope you have a great time here in HK. Just be prepared for the very very hot and humid summers here - and feeling claustrophobic from the crowd - but at least you won't ever feel lonely! :D

Sorry for the late reply and thanks again.

  • Watched your high-def version on your website. Looks very nice. Overall, how do you like your camera? Any problems with it at all? Have you seen the newer version, the HD7z? Let me know!

  • Hi ramdaspadhye - thanks for watching the vid and for the kind words.

I've had the chance to borrow the HD7z as well as the newer HD8 and they both perform better than the HD7. They both still lack Optical Image Stabilization though, and suffer from a pretty sub-par WB (in auto or manual), but low-light performance is better than the HD7 due mostly to them having larger lens.

Sorry for the late reply, and thanks again.

  • omg! it reminds me hong kong so much!

    thx 4 dis gr8 video

  • You're most welcome ncheung888, and many thanks for the kind words too.

Indeed living here can sometimes feel surreal.

  • Super cool! I love time-lapse, and I've always wanted to visit Hong Kong.

Now thanks to your film I don't want to visit ;)

Lol, but thanks for watching anyways and liking it!

Feel free to use the clip for your website. All I ask is mention that I made it.

    Good luck with your website!
