  • i want to cry this song and solos are just amazing the best solo ever!!!

  • I was there to. First concert for me and the best i ever see.

  • Nice vid of a fantastic concert. Tuts at the Roger comments, DONT forget who wrote it !!!

  • The 2 dislikes come from Roger Waters' account

  • Awesome!

  • I never get enough of David's solo...incredibly talented person he is...

  • I was there.

It was the absoluut best concert i have ever seen and heard.

  • Can someone explain to me why I can find numerous videos of the Division Bell tour on youtube whereas it was printed on the tickets that recorders or cameras were forbidden?

  • @lyonslaforet mate.... When does anybody follow the rules.. yeah, ok the peoploe that recorded these vids were being a tad "naughty" but don't you appreciate being able to listen to all these different versions?? i know i do! without these pixies concealing their cameras through security we wouldn't have any videos of the master at work! :-)

  • I enjoyed The Momentary Lapse Of Reason Tour the most.. I went to Rotterdam twice and the extra concert at Goffert/Nijmegen.. Later on we went to friends of my parents in Basel/Switzerland and PF was playing there.. So we went again ;)

    Just amazing..

  • check the footage here on youtube in Basel:

Pink Floyd ♫ Comfortably numb (Switzerland, Basel 26 july 1988)

    Very good recording for 1988..

In Rotterdam the Glittering ball came up in the middle of the stadium.. so the sparkles went around in the whole stadium.. i had tears when that was going on..

  • DG playing CN; never a dull moment: a great solo indeed!

  • I was 2 years old when this was filmed. Wish I was there!

  • I was there in Rotterdam, 1994. From then, i'm Pink Floyd addicted.

  • é inacreditavel

  • you can't imagine it here but when you see that "discoball" comming up in real..

the whole stadium was full of spakless..

As what i read in some of the reactions here..

"it seriously doesn't get any better than this. fact!"

goosebumps from the start of this track till the end of it..

  • @hektikal Those lights going round and round and round... in combination with that guitar solo was mesmerizing. It was one of those rare occasions were I was completely in the moment. I think everyone there felt the same way.

  • @vanjara

I can remember i enjoyed the momentary lapese of reason tour the most..

i went to Rotterdam twice, and the extra concert at the Goffert in Nijmegen.. after that i was visiting some friends of my parents in Basel/Switzerland and PF was there that same weekend and we went too.. Just Amazing!!

  • What does David say at the 1:03 mark? Dosent sound like "There is no pain..." :/

  • i'm born in the wrong generation :(

  • @woutervincentbff Same here :(

  • i ♥ Pink Floyd

  • it seriously doesn't get any better than this. fact.

  • who cares what tour it was , it waz amazing i was there sat night

  • who cares what tour it was , it waz amazing

  • SHIT i was born in 1994 this concert was on 3,4,5 september i was born 24 november SHIT

  • seriously i never get tired of listening to this version of this song...David's solo rocks

  • when comf num started it was light but was starting too get dark . i was there sat night show

  • no words just one name DAVID GILMOUR

  • Sounds like Gilmour struggled through that one. Throughout the second solo he keeps falling back on the same notes as if he can't think of what to play next. I suppose that musicians have their good and bad nights.

  • Very interesting to ear the sounds mades by David at the 2nd part of the 2nd solo when the light turn off ... 6:50 and more at the end 8:45! So different from the original!

  • This is a vid of the Division Bell, dont know where and when but not the concert in 1994 in Rotterdam which was " The Pulse Tour" i was there and this song was played in daylight while tears filled my eyes...

  • @SjoerdDekker I thought it was called the Division Bell tour (no tour-name mentioned on the ticket), but in 1995 the band released the live album PULSE to commemorate the tour. I was there at September 5th, can't remember if it was dark or light outside. The combination of the reflections of the "disco ball" and the music brought tears to my eyes as well.

  • @vanjara it was light when started

  • @SjoerdDekker I'm quite sure this is a video from the concert in Rotterdam in 1994. I think, there were 2 or 3 gigs in Rotterdam, so maybe you participated on a different one. However, I don't think Comfortably Numb was played in daylight on any concert during The division bell tour. You know, this song was always one of the last songs on their setlist => it was already dark at that time (and I can't imagine using that "mirror-bowl" in daylight).

  • i was there sat night or day and i cant remember what tour it was, pulse or div bell, think second one

  • @Guenter1555 the glitter ball was used when still light

  • @SjoerdDekker ur right m8 it was light when they started that song

  • @mcguinness1971 i no way was that the sat night gig

  • @mcguinness1971 Thanks Mate, Guenter1555 is saying it was not in daylight but what does he know...he wasn't there...I was standing in broad daylight with my girlfriend in my arms and crying big fat tears over another girl that committed suicide but failed, and was hospitalized in a mental institution...and was comfotably numb.... I will never forget the moment David started his solo and tears welled up in my eyes...still got chills writing this down

  • I was at this concert also. Hands down, best concert I've ever been till date.

Other artist should take note and hire great sound engineers just like Pink Floyd always did.

That is a very nice recording, especially considering it is from 1994. How did you manage to smuggle the * I'm guessing large* camera past security ?

  • @vanjara Say to truth, I'm not the one who recorded this video. However, good question, I consider this bootleg one of the best bootlegs from the division bell tour.

  • @vanjara I think everything Pink Floyd did on that tour was 1000% state of the art-on steriods. Lasers? They were military grade, the most powerful available (at the time) and before each concert FAA clearance had to be obtained because these lasers were strong enough to interfere with airline flight navigation systems.(if that sounds outlandish or exaggerated to anyone... look it up, it's a fact).

  • I was at this concert. Travelled from Scotland to see them. Still the best gig I've ever seen.

  • @kegs202 i left on bus from glasgow bus station

  • @mcguinness1971 So did I, we were probably either on the same bus or part of the same convoy. If i remember right there was 3 buses set off. I'm sure the company we booked through was Going live.

  • awesome

  • yes!!!, some-one has finally got this back up!!! u are awesome!!!!

  • @johnwilliamson4321 Hi, thank you. :)

  • God bless Pink Floyd
