  • Thanks for sharing the info mate. Your melody is pretty nice. BFD2 sounds so good but price tag of $300 is really high.

  • nice beat

  • Thanks for sharing, man. This will be very useful for my metal songs.

  • thank you, much appriciated..

  • M god dude, did you make that song? It sounds amazing! Do you have a finished product of that song?

    Its my kinda style!

  • thanks for the demo - im using it for dance and youve just showed me the way via a google search - cheers, and thanks CriticalBanana below for showing the way to controlling it after beat stops (via a control MIDI track)

    thanks guys

  • sorry, my bad - no need to mute the kick obviously as it cant be heard anyway!!

  • This method doesn't work for dance music because when the kick stops the compressor stops pumping. Best way is to MUTE the kick drum track and send its MAIN OUT (dont create an aux send) to the sonitus compressor (or gate). This way the compressor keeps pumping all the time while the kick stays muted. Now everything you send to the buss with the compressor on will pump all the time. Simply create another kick track as the one you want heard in your track and send that one to the master.

  • @CriticalBanana - is that so you can control the side-chaining after the beat stops? i.e. it continues controlling spikes on sound without the beat so it doesnt sound 'odd' when beat stops... I see... thanks for that input (had to work out why 1st ..lol , im a noob :) )

  • wow i like the last part when you play the piano its really nice

  • Hey, thanks for the tip, I've heard of side chaining, and knew what it was used for... but you clearly showed me how to use it, Thanks for the video's

It's going to help our new Album

  • good luck with the new album my friends... Glad I could help.. bye for now.

  • cool! talk soon....

  • @Roxdurag yes! Any sound that has been recorded.

  • Omnisphere...ah, Thx

  • Great tutorial! What strings plug in were you using? It sounded great.

  • Great tute, man. And nice sounds and feel in your track. If you don't mind me asking how did you sequence the BFD drums? electronic drumkit? sequencer pads? keyboard?

  • @retrogradeorbit Keyboard.

  • why did yoy put two compressors 1 on the master bus and the other on the kick, does it matter if you use only 1 for the kick or is it vital to do this way? thanks

  • I'm only using one. I've sent an AUX SEND of the bass drum to the SIDE CHAIN of the comp.......

  • @best00000007 Hey bro can you tell me , how to sidechain with out the kick , I mean to be able to hear the "ducked" tracks without hearing the kick

  • @mcaminmusic turn the kick all the way down

  • @mcaminmusic turn the kick all the way down

  • nice thanx....
