Since all states have the right to seceed whenever they like isn't it fair to say that each state is its own independent nation? This is where people get confused. Each state has its own authority to judge what is and isn't constitutional. If that is false then all laws should be the same from state to state. Use your head.

I don't understand people sometimes. The're all for state's rights and the Federal gov. staying out of their way, but when the Federal gov. does something that overturns STATE'S rights but is good for them their all for the government.

Your comment would make sense if the majority of the state of Illinois wanted the Chicago handgun ban. They didn't. If left to a state vote, the ban would have never went into place, ever.
