I wonder how many of those nativity scenes are slopped with Pagan roots. Christmas in Rome more universal? The Catholic Church conforms to the world, not conforms to Christ alone. Are we to make images of Christ, when we have no idea what he really looked like? What if the nativity scene differs in detail from the real scene, is it still real or a deceptive fake? Nobody will be saved by Nativity scenes, obviously! But our Savior is "the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation" (Colossians 1:15). God is vivible in Jesus! No matters what he really looks like, it's important to remember that our Savior was a real child, flesh and bones, really visible, and Nativity scenes can simply help us to remember that. What we see is not Jesus, but helps us to see Jesus in prayer, with the eyes of faith. We don't pray statues, but who represent.

The bible is clear about the catholic church. Christ warned us to beware the doctrine of the Pharisee, the return to the religious law, that he would die to fulfill. You do not believed you are saved, so you must return to your temple, and have a man forgive you right after you perform several rituals. If you need the Church, why did Christ die on the cross? He only completed 75% of your salvation and the church will do the rest? The formation of the church in Acts, was to spread word, not law.
