this is a great little lesson that's WAY more beneficial than just learning to play that "boogie" sound....it's also a very clear and obvious way to get a student used to working the up-strum; something that eludes a lot of beginners, but opens HUGE doors for playing in the future.

i cant get the barred chord to sound like that. are u muting the strings with ur palm? and are u going up and down on all 4 strings or hitting the 5th string individually?
