  • I adore boring burgers. I always have - ever since I was a wee tiny child.

  • just lost the will to live!

  • What station was it? All we know from the video is that it was an NBC Chanel 11 affiliate.

  • @SciFiGuy1x KNTV, the NBC affiliate in San Francisco

  • @UpstateNYTV Thanks.

  • Was this when the station still belonged to Granite Broadcasting? If so, it figures,,,

  • it takes a while for the NBC people to clean their lips and get back to work after kissing Obama's ass so hard and so often.

  • What is that oval thing behind her?

  • 52 people are just fine with boring burgers.

  • can anyone identify the ad? Is it for Carl's Jr?

  • tired of boring burgers...try the Michelle Obama triple decker bonanza ghetto fat burger

  • No, I'm tired of boring news intros

  • "This burger has no sense of humor..."

  • co za assy!!!

  • i want those 56 seconds of my life back!!

  • co za asy

  • who cares if the burger is boring? Stop looking and just eat it!

  • Their floor director didn't inform her to go to her newsdesk. Silly director.

  • Hehh?

  • ummmmm ok lmfao

  • omg lol

  • The end of that theme sounds like it was composed by someone who watched too much Star Trek: TNG.

  • ???

  • That is one remarkably flat-chested woman.

  • Hey, that's mine! KNTV! How could I have not caught that!

  • HAHAHA

  • Why do news stations even do these long intros or outros with their music with awkward camera shots and angles?

    RARGH!

  • you'll b seeing more of this in the comcast era...

  • love the theme!

  • gotta love the nbc chimes!!! lol

  • Some people like me really love the “G-E-C” NBC chimes.

  • thanks to the closed captioning ...otherwise I would not understood anything....

  • "tired of boring burgers..." was actually the funny part for me

  • i dont get it????

  • probably what happened: Some stations have a camera mounted above the studio or far back from the set to take for a wide shot as they open or close the newscast... and I'm just guessing that something happened and the director couldn't cut to her camera... this looks like a tease, not a open. They tease before the newscast, usually run 90 seconds of commercial, then start the newscast.

  • youve gotta love the nbc chimes

  • Are those the NBC chimes?

  • This is pretty bad.

  • Was more interested in the Burger advert...

  • That ad is actually a Long John Silvers spot... I remember that ad, unfortunately.

    :-(

  • What's spectacular here??

  • Comedy

  • yeah that was pretty bad. Im glad she did not trip on those long cords, especially if she has to RUN to get to the news desk!

  • What's with all the super hero music?

  • Its news intro music you dipshit

  • You cannot deny the power of the NBC chimes. And yes, I *am* tired of boring burgers!

  • are you KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDDING ME ?!!!

  • Talk about random...

  • What happened?

  • "Close capturing sponsored by some greedy company who's clearly making enough money to waste it on pointless advertising"

  • Not necessarily. Bank of America is still doing sponsorships--with American citizens' money! Yay!

    -_-

  • Lol!

  • lisa kim

  • yes i am tired of boring burger

  • i second that

  • I'm tired of assburgers

  • "tired of boring burgers" - no!!!

  • What happened is that they cued up the wrong camera and sent it out to their live feed. Instead of doing a live tease for the 11pm news, we were shown her doing the actual tease itself. The tease is about 10 seconds. Then, another couple of commercials, and then she's on. That's why she was in a hurry.

  • Spoken like a true floor director.

Seriously, everyone at every news station seems pretty laid back, until crunch time. Especially when going into a live feed.

  • It's like in those movies where a funny laugh straightens out in .01 second flat.

  • looks like theyre too stingy to have 2 presenters...

  • lol...that news anchor name is Lisa Kim. I find her cute:-), I would love to date her.

  • maybe she's measuring the time

  • Give her a break, maybe she had to go potty? er, I mean....take a dump.

I'm starting to sound like my kids, sheesh, see, there it goes again! grrrr ;-)

  • this is obvioulsy a rehersal or something, not the actual opening the the show...

  • lol. and that's the news folks. lol

  • Comment removed

  • Heheh. Well the news intros here in the States usually *are* 4 to 5 seconds, complete with news anchor fake smiling clips and music fanfare. It's rare when a news anchor darts off camera like that though, so out comes the full music score!

  • That should be what we call a teaser and then when she runs to the desk is when the actual news theme and broadcast start. This was obviously a mistake.

  • The adverts shown are invalid in the United Kingdom!! :P

Good NBC11 error or whatever the channel is!

  • of course they are, why would adds from america apply to the uk?

what a silly thing to say

  • lol news pwnt

  • that was a complete waste of fucking time

  • i dont get this

  • thats pretty funny :D

  • they stuffed up the cues, the camera should have gone to the news desk rather than showing her running up to it

  • I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO IF IM TIRED OF BORING BURGERS NOW!! Damnit

    lol

  • HA!!! just have some "fry's" with them.

    ok i'll shut up now.

    LOL

  • wow wtf that was funny

  • I don't get it...

  • I never heard this specific part of the WNBC 2003 Package before... It's a shame no one has that specific part of the package... because even though that was a horrible opening... it was a nice part of a package though....

  • yea.. thats what i like about NBC11 in our area... they remixed the WNBC package because people hated it.. make it sound Tower V1

this is an older version of the opening (after she ran and u hear the opening) but yea.. they remixed it to sound sorta like Tower v1

  • No, WNBC News has that cut, it wsan't remixed.

  • i kno.. not this.. but KNTV like changed it up to make it sound less... boring and depressing... Its the same exact tune, but they mixed it up like crazy...

  • It is nice thou

  • Thats Actualy the Vamp from the main open AND I REMEMBER THIS HAHAHA!!!

  • No, apparently this clip is from the live chats that NBC11 have on their websites. During Commercial breaks they show the studio at that camera angle because KNTV has no rights to stream live commercials online so they have to show studio shots. She previously did a story standing there, and commercial was almost over so she ran.

Course i dont get.. why did she stand there for so long since commercial is pretty long... Maybe they wanted another open shot... and her standing was crappy

  • I am assuming she was supposed to be talking during that music and the wrong camera was on. She then had to run to the desk because the news was about to begin.

  • forgot to ask, why was she running? was there a technical glitch or somethin?

  • Is this the news opening that they use?

  • I like this news opening. Shows the guts behind our news. But that 'sprint' towards the end was a bit funny. Reminds me of an overactive bladder commercial.
