Ok.. Um I downloaded the firmware thingy and it all came in a .zip folder..I tried extracting it to my destop and it comes in a regular folder..it doesn't have any kind of icon or anything and when I try to select the folder in "Snowbreeze" it doesn't show up?

@vampiregurl1o1 when you download it and it comes in a zip file all you have to to is change the .zip to .ipsw manually

What happened: I downloaded the 2 (firmware and snow breeze) I downloaded the right ipsw for my iphone 3g. then I jailbroke it. when it was on DFU mode (blackscreen) it asked me to restore. Sure I restored using the new ipsw from snowbreeze. the it said error 1600. then I couldn't turn it on. So I had to do a hard reset (press power and home down simoultanesly for about 10 seconds). Thank God I didn't loose any data or apps. But it still wasn't jailbroken.

@toheeda use redsnow and replace your iphone baseband with the ipad baseband and then when the jailbreak is done install ultrasnow and you should be unlocked

oh! I'm so sorry. yes, it's ipsw. I downloaded the ipsw for version 4.3.3 from another place and i jailbreaked my iphone 3gs successfully! but i have a little problem now with my phone service. it appears "no service" and i did the cydia stuff with the ultrasnow 1.2.3, installed it and reboot iphone but nothing. turn off and on... nothing.
