  • OMG He's waering a Bronx Boy necklace...

  • perspectvvv persp perspectvvvvvzzzzz

  • Just went to Profo Won's Workshop. Dude is dope!

  • @Rockin5teve It was a pretty dope workshop! Which one did you go to?

  • If anybody wants to know where the style came from that this guy was doing in this video with the leg wrap arounds and dead legs and knee threadz for Toronto style. Click on my Youtube link.

  • I don't get it.. so in a footwork battle, we shouldn't do leg work ..but we should only do steps which is the NY style.. based on what bboy Profo Won said !?

Someone who knows answer me plz.. thanks

  • @UAEbboy from what i hear, a lot of people don't approve too much of leg work in the traditional sense of footwork. lot of people will consider it footwork but since it isn't really composed of "steps" and more of sweeps and such, it won't count.

  • @UAEbboy na i dont think he means that i think he means because the judges were old school and like traditional NY style steps

  • this really helps

  • I like the Toronto style the best.

  • whats the necklace hes wearing? I swear I saw born with one

  • @FormatxCwalk Probably a Floorgangz medallion

  • just curious, what's with the fat laces that's trailing from his jeans? seen some heads in my area deck them out like that too. just dont understand.

  • @strifetv Ayee! thnx for the vid really helped and improved my footwork

  • Thanks for clearing that up! big ups!

  • The moment he said "Canada" and "threads" I instantly thought of Megas.

This was a really fantastic video. Even though the dance is still relatively young, it's still important to try to record and account for the history, so I'm glad Strive.tv took the time to make this. Thanks to Strife.tv and thanks to Profo!

  • anthropology of bboying

  • Really good video for us newbies.

  • if you guys know shimmycocopuffs he had the canadian style haha

  • japan has their own style too

  • @ThePayDayRay pls elaborate..

  • @Statykbboy japan was the first place the rock steady crew traveled to teach. japan has a long history in bboying and there is a certain look that many japanese bboys had that was different from anyone else that only came from japan. especially their c-cs or Russian taps. they also use alot of floor swoops and ground movements different from the european style. they have alot of sperts and explosions of energy put into their movement and they used this technique of constant flow

  • @ThePayDayRay word up, i understand... perhaps the level is not as distinguishable as other styles to make it known and named as a japanese style.. but yah good to know..

  • @Statykbboy the bboys coming out of japan now dont have it as much as before

  • 5:20. can i bite?? lol really really dope steps i wanna learn how to do it.

  • Does anyone know what kinda shoes he's wearing?

  • @wearesupreme1 Those are the Nike Flight Falcons in the Black and Red colorway.

  • Awww NautyOne smokes =(

  • @Bboyxcel1 I think most of the male population in South Korea smokes dude.

  • @tuanffuf ...The first person I ever saw do a thread .... Was redhead kingpin. A rapper back in da days. And big daddy kane dancers.... And that's way before wiggles did a thread.... I'm talking about holding your knee threads. That's our style. And leg wrap arounds.

  • I think that Maurizio aka The next one influenced a lot of people back then and today too. IMHO his footwork style (power footwork) is one of the most copied today.

    sorry for my english

  • хуйню пиздит далбоеб,its fukin bullshit

  • The learning (burn) is the background music

  • Show

  • you can see the canada style in bboys like casper i never really thought of it up until now but my style is just like the new york footwork being that i live in jersey

  • loving this vid, thanx strife and thanx profo for recognizing the real

  • @tuanffuf threads are common sense anyone can come up with a simple thread im 40 years of age and iv seen lots of hip hop dancers threading back in the late 80's and thats who influence me. have you heard of a guy name Finley or Scoob and Scrap lover to me thats where i saw it first. Wiggles is a lengend and is dangerous and great dancers like him are most capable of inventing cause seriously that what the older bboys are all about. Megas was in my crew keep in mind he was 15 when joined

  • @bboylego826 Didn't mean to offend you by the question. Just asking since I've read up on wigglez being the first to make thread concepts and what not. Not trying take anything away from Supernatz.

  • @tuanffuf i know what you mean this is a big world we live in and like i said wiggles is also a big part of this style you see today and good minds think alike. just so you understand my name is base on the way i break leg-o my leg goes through any hole i can produce also my leg make cirler patterns. profo talks about leg work not having steps but when you see my other new format of leg work you will say leg work have steps and i call it leg stepping cant wait to show you

  • @tuanffuf i dont watch alot of vids so i dont even know whos out there but guys like megas and dizzy basically flip what they see from me so what i would call that is half stepping. not biting. but the elements and ideas is mine. sense this hole thing of threads has come out to the open iv never thought my style of dance would attract the world cause my style is even boring to me. thats why now i mainly top rock and you will also see a different style in my top rock.

  • yeye respect to canada style

  • NY style ftw.. lets stick to the original!

  • @benadesouza word thats where it all starts NYC

  • yo big thanks to strife and homie from floor gangz, my apologies i dont know you, but big thanks for droppin the knowledge and lettin the new Bboys grow.

  • Yoooo, wow, crazy stuff going on here, but I want to clear something up. What profo showed in that video to demonstrate "Toronto Style" was an exact thread set made up by the original member of my crew "Lego". Stripes also invented the wrap around style. It was a way that we used to break so that nobody could bite our stuff in the cyphers cuz it was too complicated. Just wanted to give clear this up

  • @dyzeesupernaturalzzz so what about origamy style of megas?

  • @thelilfck Megaz WAS in supernaturalz and he went to boogie brats with the shit.

  • Comment removed

  • He knows his stuff

  • @bboyrocklee ... Lego Rebel and I are going to make a new video soon to show you the style. It will Be out after New Years.... On YouTube, and Bboyworld. Stay tuned. I will post the link from this video. It will be the response video.

  • so nice....fresh...

  • Canada

  • yeh canada..XD

  • @The808swag It's not.

  • @XlIl oh gosh I sense future beef going down >.<

  • @BboyhErOicEagle Well he dared someone! It'd be awfully rude not to take him up on his dare.

  • @The808swag show us the real supernatural style. the world gotta know.

  • @The808swag Its true.

  • @The808swag big shout out to Profo Won and Super Natural crew and members. We are very interested in the Toronto scene and the footwork it has to offer, looking forward in a video response, peace!

  • @The808swag So you're saying Wiggles didn't come up with threads?

  • @tuanffuf No he's not saying that wiggles didn't come up with threads. It depends on what your definition is of threads. We are talking about the real complexed threading and legwork styles, the last style to be completely born out of the cyphers, not for shows, or big competitions. The proof is in the footages. All you need to do is look at old footage of Wiggles, Supernaturalz, Boogiebrats, BTX, to see what styles, steps and moves where done by who and how and when they did it.

  • i would like to go to a workshop from nautyone *__*

  • hey profo can you tell me who showed you that last step with your hand in between your legs im curious looks very familiar. And if i think who it is please stop i think the person who created that style should be telling or teaching you how to do it correctly. please get back to me on that

  • @bboylego826 profo is a top dog footworks bboy dude... he's from floor gangz cmon now he knows what he's talking about.

  • @i8myrice2day2 ...you're saying that to bboy lego. One of the judges for the Red Bull BC One US Qualifier this year.

  • @BboyhErOicEagle no homie im bboyleg-o from supernaturalz stripez is talking about dizzy showing off my leg work towards the end of the video thats all. This is just a supernaturalz matter

  • @bboylego826 respect to profro he did a good job to his knowledge and yes respect to gizz and his crew they had their own style going on and their sick routines but at the same time we were different as well. in my opinion i think bag of tricks and supernaturalz are the 2 crew that developed sicks styles and i think of being the older crews in toronto we should demontrate our two different styles in a vid together explaining our art so everyone knows and dont fuss are fight were grown men.

  • @i8myrice2day2 yo i respect all bboys out there why you think megas and dizz rolled with me im not here diss anyone im here because i saw one of my small sets demontrated by him and i know that was dizzy who showed him but its all good if he would at least confronted me

  • Comment removed

  • @i8myrice2day2 being from a crew dont mean he knows it all! cmon now, how much does he know about how things are run per brooklyn/europe/toronto.. u can only know to a certain degree.. he cant say much if hes not originally from the area!

  • @Statykbboy... Profo does his research and asks the right questions. He made a collective consensus of what styles dominated the World Wide B-Boy scene for the last 15 years. He is one of the only few that I know that choses to go the route of a scholar. Most will be thinking, how does he know? Easy, he's been to your area asked the local pioneer or historian to get his facts. You guys may bitch and complain, but ask yourself, what have you done to expose the art in an educated fashion?

  • @robnasty i aint hating on him at all. i actually love and respect the fact that Profo broke it down to how much he knows..he def did his research.. i basically commented the fact on someone says "he's from so so crew im sure he knows what hes talkin about" guess what go ask yourself is that the right way to base a knowledge just because he from this and that crew..ofcourse not! I have no doubt Profo did his research!!! Big ups to Profo..

  • Knowledge3 I do the first two

  • I love knowledge

  • AWESOME

this is the true art of bboying

everyone should see this to know that bboying isn't a subculture or a sport... but a TRUE form of art

  • daaaaaang PROFO WON FOR THE KNOWLEDGE!!!! TWO for the time. that was a good 6 minutes. thank you Strife for the post (wadup Loan, I know you).

  • THanks!!!

  • 5:26 "Here, here, here, Here Here Here HERE." LOLOL

  • That sound of footwork on concrete - can't beat it.

  • Man canadians got that finesse

  • anything that expands bboy history is good knowledge. very informative video profo

  • NautyOne

  • BE MY TEACHER!!!

  • hahahahha naughty one ahhahahahha

  • FORGET MATH AND CHEMISTRY I'D HECKA RATHER LEARN THIS!

    MORE OF THESE PLEASE, STRIFE!!!!

  • que educativo saludos desde chile

  • Comment removed

  • This is free valuable knowledge yall. Big ups to Strife.

  • as a hungry student of the game this is exactly what i needed! I would be much more prone to watching bboy vids if they contained educational material like this! thanks strife!

  • Canada baby!

  • i knew i noticed these three distinct styles

  • Can´t confirme with that, these "pretzels" in the video are not the pretzels i´ve learned from "Storm". There is a step in pretzels (kick, step, sweep)

There are also steps in the Eurostyle, but yeah less than in the new york style.

  • megus is a masta

  • NautyOne like always in his style :DD

  • 4:20

    Shit just got real.

  • prospectives...

  • LOL NaughtyOne with his stogie Xp.

  • Knowledge...

  • And damn, at 5:27. Belts out a nasty footwork combo in stop motion.

  • FINALY :) thanks strife tv :)

  • respect to BTX...Gizmo and Flex. Man we really need to step our game up Canada lets go! Especially Toronto!

  • @MrRyushinn Yo Toronto been progressin at its own pace and as Profo as shwon it aint gotta be held to no standard. Check Switch B FAM, Illz Ground Illusionz, , Puzzles Supernaturalz....Toronto footwork dudes killin it, they just aint got the shine yet. Cept puzzes.

  • @NateZen My bad i meant Toronto crews need more shine that's all i'm saying. I'm just kinda sick of people associating Toronto/Canada with SNC. Because we got some dope ass crews like FAM and MEC. I'm a Toronto native so i just want to see my city exposed more to the international scene!

  • @MrRyushinn how much more do you need in terms of city exposure? tdot is always known internationally...of course theres tons of dope crews out in tdot now, mind you it was different before when btx snc bbc etc when they were reppin hard, and different challenges to make themselves known. international battle and events back then are more prestige than it is presently. Now theres so many events that its a different challenge for newer kats to get themselves known...

  • @NateZen Also i just think the progression is kinda slow... for a city with dope ass crews

  • yeah finally Canada gets some love! big ups to profo won for sharing his knowledge and passing on what he's learnt!

  • How to smoke Profo Won: Ask him to try and say perspectives.

LOL. On a serious note though, most eye opening vid I've seen in a while. It was interesting to think about these styles and how they apply to myself and other bboys in my scene to see where peoples styles tended to lie. Much respect.

  • Always hungry for knowledge. Thanks.

  • As a bboy i would say that, when i started breakin' i just wanted to you know.. Break! But i became more interested in bboying though. I wanted to learn about history. Its very important to me. Thanks dude! I will spread this history to my friends and keep bboying living on

  • Guidance yo!! Read the article a long time ago, happy to see it reiterated into video form. Big ups to Profo, and thanks for shouting out Gizmo, a Canadian legend.

  • I expected profo to teach actual footwork steps, but this was much educational! Thanks for this.

  • @LawkSam Anyone can teach footwork steps. Only a few can explain where they came from.

  • @strifetv True!
