You CAN season the chickin before flouring. You season the buttermilk. I season my buttermilk with hot sauce salt, pepper, cayenne and garlic powder. Let chicken soak for 2 hours.
What happened to the nutmeg? It may sound wierd but mmm- try adding it to the breading mix - and ya gotta parboil the chick and then coat and deep fry...at least from what I was taught - if you are using a batter type coating. Straight fried chicken may not need the parboiling.

heres a good recipe: wash your hands put your favorite slice of cheese onto a plate(1slice) put some shredded black pepper turkey ontop of it(slices work too) use sort of alot of turkey then put another layer of cheese ontop-microwave for 25secodns then mash up together after u wash your hands a 2nd time put it back in for about another 30seconds after thats doen get larys salt out put a ltittle in your hand and grind it ontop of the turkey thing thne stur- enjoy!

buttermilk is pretty much a "soured"milk. if you want to make some at home you can put a small amout of vinegar into regular whole milk and let it set for a bit.
I love fried chicken. I invite you to watch my video using shredded chicken and some cheese to make "entomatadas". Sort of like enchiladas except they are made with tomato sauce instead of red chile. My video is in Spanish and it is named, "Comiendo Con Dona Chelo"
Regular milk is not as viscous as buttermilk which effects how well the flour will adhere. Also, milk doesn't have the same tangy quality. If you don't like buttermilk you would be be better off making a brine. Soak the chicken in that for flavor/moisture, then rinse well and dip them in milk.
I have traveled the world and outside some vegetarians in India and a few other places, I have yet to find people who don't like fried chicken. That is why a chain like KFC has been so successful. And they don't even make great fried chicken either.

I Never use buttermilk but I have however used Italian dressing to make the flour stick but that depends on your taste preference.
If you use really hot oil without having to turn the chicken to often you shouldn't have a problem with the coating staying on.

im not being racial. i think its funny cause on alot of these tutorials i find people the complete opposite. i look at this tutorial by same channel for curly hair and i got a tutorial on how to deal with it with straight hair.

I think i seen somewhere that you can make a buttermilk equivelent, with 1 part single cream 2 part milk...

You can get buttermilk in the supermarket with the cream, or at least i did in tesco

buttermilk is pretty much a "soured"milk. if you want to make some at home you can put a small amout of vinegar into regular whole milk and let it set for a bit.

I love fried chicken. I invite you to watch my video using shredded chicken and some cheese to make "entomatadas". Sort of like enchiladas except they are made with tomato sauce instead of red chile. My video is in Spanish and it is named, "Comiendo Con Dona Chelo"

can u use regular milk instead of buttermilk, or does it make it taste worse

Regular milk is not as viscous as buttermilk which effects how well the flour will adhere. Also, milk doesn't have the same tangy quality. If you don't like buttermilk you would be be better off making a brine. Soak the chicken in that for flavor/moisture, then rinse well and dip them in milk.

I have traveled the world and outside some vegetarians in India and a few other places, I have yet to find people who don't like fried chicken. That is why a chain like KFC has been so successful. And they don't even make great fried chicken either.
