I LOVED the Woodland Ballad. I've read the whole Redwall series, and I could never read the songs as songs because I had no idea of the melody. But you've done a great job!
OMG I remember reading pearls of lutra and when craklyn sung for pikmin (her dead friend she sung for) I cried I love these books but when I get into a book and start to love the characters I can't bare them dying that day I went into a depression and though of me losing my best friend TY for singing theses songs it brought back memories I've read most of the books :)))))))
I'm reading "Perals of Lutra" and when I heard you sing to "Farewell" song that Craklyn sings in the book brought a tear to my eye. You did an amazing job on these. (=^_^=)
Strange coincidences... I was looking for Redwall songs, since I recently discovered Redwall and just loved the music here on youtube. Then I looked at your username and was like "what the...??". I watched you a few days before on DevArt after hearing your "leaves from the vine". :D
Anyway, your interpretations of the lyrics are most lovely. The melodies are so great and as I said, I love your voice! :)
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who made up my own tunes for the songs in the Redwall books xD I should record some of them myself...I love your rendition of "Noonvale," it's gorgeous.
Oh dear... let's see if you understand it this way...
I wrote -this- music. It is in no way, shape, or form affiliated with Brian Jacques or the Redwall Abbey Co., Ltd. I am volunteering as a part of the fanbased Mossflower project, and these are some samples I recorded.
Was that any clearer? If not, don't bother thinking about it, b/c I won't be able to explain any more.
i wish my voice sounded like you your amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
