Matthew Vaughn is a awesome director. I have faith in this movie cuz he said he was a Xmen fan. The only movie of his that actually bomb was Kick-Ass and I liked that movie. And I know Ice Man was part of the comic but remember this movie is takes place in the 60s but Ice Man wasn't born yet from the original trilogy.

iron man and spider-man were better movies because they stayed true to the comic. x-men sucked because they changed everything. this is going to suck to. i just wish i could see an x-men movie that was faithful to the original material. :(

@vadermaultyrannus Not sure about Iron Man, but Spidey changed a lot. Peter never really falls in love with Gwen and she doesn't die at the hands of GG 1. Sandman is Uncle Ben's killer. Harry gets killed off by Venom. MJ dates JJJ's son (or nephew, can't remember). I could go on, but you see my point, none of that is in the comics. The important thing is to stay true to the spirit/theme/characters of the comic. Nolan changed a lot with Batman, but he got it right where it mattered.

Both actors that play Magneto and Professor X are very talented actors. Actuall the actor that plays Magneto is Loki in the Movie Thor. Very good actor. And first class is when Magneto and Professor X are best buddies and Eric actually help make cerybro. The cast consist of Havok (nightcrawlers father) Banshee, beast, magneto, professor X, emma frost and the fairs..who i think later becomes Hank Pyms (giant man, ant man) wife.

@m4rvel86 No. Havok is NOT nightcrawlers father. That is Azazel. Havok is scott summers brother (although they messed that up with the timeline.) And Hank Pym's wife? That girl with the fly wings is a mutant. That is not pyms wife. X-men is its own timeline in movies; they wouldn't have connections to the rest of the marvel universe.

Nightcrawler's father is Azaezal who appears to work for the Hellfire Club in this piece.

Knowing Bryan Singer, he'dve made X-3 less about Wolverine (asshole) and more about Cyclops, thus probably making it better. But yeah, I'm a fanboy, but I'm not rabid either. I won't nitpick, but if a guy really doesn't know the characters, I have to speak up before a trolling nerd does. Hate trolls.

@gundammeistersetsuna i think Ian Mckellan did an amazing job as magneto. his arrogance and contempt for "baseline" humanity was quite believable. "people never talk about extermination, they just do it" people tend to take the art found in comics a bit too seriously. Charels and Erik are both in their 50's-60's (ish) so of course ther're not rippling with muscles, wearing spandex. as long directors stay true to the characters, i can live with some "creative adjustments"
