@jimallman I just downloaded all the studio versions and converted them into music files and burned a CD. Try it. I used real player to convert them right into a folder I made at my harddisk.

Idol learned a valuable lesson with Daughtry... Have somebody else win and winners will sell... then Daughtry cruises into the mix and he also sells and makes big bucks as well. it's a win win situation... the same thing will happen with Crystal. in 2 years from now, you won't remember Lee but Idol made big money off of both for the first year...They are trying to double up their money to be made until the show goes away... That will also happen in 2 years...

@BluebirdPB Lee didn't come close, you're right - he beat her. Why? Because he has a broader appeal and that's not just an opinion since he's selling nearly twice as much music as she is. If you want to be a Crystal fan then be one and support her and buy her music and look forward to the new CD. Crying about Lee winning and trying to bash him just shows you to be a no-class sore loser.

Crystal was always on par, and even more in each episode. Lee sings off key habitually, thats the fact. Judges pimped him and producers helped cover his vocal problems with big band and choir in top3 and top2. Who the hell would need a big choir unless he is off-key?

I don't know how America could have been so deaf and voted for Lee over Crystal. However, I believe that this will just give Crystal a head start. Lee wasn't that good up until the week before the finale. Even then, he didn't sing like he wanted it. Anyways, I wish them both the best of luck. I will definetly buy Crystal's album when it comes out.

She was much better on the finale...but Lee was better on the season. Crystal had awsome weeks like this one, but she had some others that were pretty average to below average. It will be interesting to see if she can sing songs from this decade as well as she sings the oldies.

@dgagnon313 Lee had many weeks that were average or below average.. Crystal had a few.. But one was due to her illness with Diabetes. She had very little 'bad' weeks. I can only really think of one or two that were not up to par..

Don't know if the CD is available online. My sister got a copy from Crystal's Dad and she made me a copy. Call Papa's Tavern in Toledo Ohio. Crystal was a regular there and warmed up for American Idol there.

You people should hear the version of this song on the CD going around locally. I live in Toledo. That CD has a MTV Unplugged version on it. Just Crystal and her guitar. It's absolutely incredible, and belongs on the playlist of every soft-rock radio station. Most of the rest of the CD (16 songs) is her original music. Any fan of Janis Joplin will absolutely love her music.

I first heard this song nearly 40 years ago done by Gordon Whatshisname followed by many, many others including Janis and Kris. Nobody, but nobody in my opinion comes close to CRYSTAL, even LeAnn Rimes. This song was made for CRYSTAL; she has the personality, style, voice and temperament for it. This girl positively channels Janis Joplin voice. It's almost spooky. Her arrangement is a little different, and maybe Janis' s was better. But I actually liked Kristopherson's performance best, especially where he sang "Nothing ain't worth notin', but it's free". Made more sense to me in the context of the song.
