This is Dan Willis who at the time was working for Lee Stoller on the Cristy Lane show in Branson. Jimmy Ellis told me this and I talked to Dan after a show and he said he knew Jimmy.

No one had reached that pinnacle of stardom at that point and it must have been unbearable. Too many pieces of the whole story don't fit together but if he is still out there, I say Live your life, love and laugh and enjoy loved ones and friends.

A country music station in Chattanooga interviewed country singer Ronnie McDowell on the air one day to ask if it was his voice on this recording. McDowell is one of the best Elvis sound-alikes in the business but he said he had never even heard this song.
