  • GEEK!!! !!! when i was here i was lvl 27 XDD u 99

  • when i got fran and balthier after the events of nalbina, they were still level 24.... and not up to 93 or 94... and my vaan is lvl 91 and basch is 93

  • Balthier and Fran will be left at the level in which you first got them. All other characters will start on a level based on Vaan's (technically, the average of the 2 highest). The only way to get Balthier and Fran to start on level 99 is if you use the 70-hour method all the way through.

  • @ulillillia check ur youtube inbox.

  • hey ullillia great videos. Does the level that you obtain a esper at affect its power/level?

  • Whether you obtain your first espert at level 20 or 99, it shouldn't matter. The level of the esper is the same as that of the caster as far as I'm aware. Outside the required Gigas summon, I've only ever used espers twice and always at level 99 so I can't say with any certainty....

  • omg!

  • lol game shark/code break only change your trikes >.>

  • how do u level up so fast do u train each charactor by themselves?

  • In the case of this video, they all started at level 99 because I got Vaan to level 99 before getting anyone. This is doable in 70 hours (possibly 55 if using dustia). I wrote a guide on GameFAQs explaining how to do it (of which needs to be updated). Yep, as soon as you get Balthier and Fran (and all others that follow), there's enough LP to obtain every single license on the board twice over. Once you get the dawn shard, you can get nearly the best equipment in the game.

  • @ulillillia Thanks alot. But now I feel like playing the game over again from the begining lol.I am at level 30 and i have everybody now, which means more stress for me to train everyone.Stupes! Thanks for your advice. :-)

  • Ya know, you could make use of that and get near perfect HP and MP for everyone. Afterall, you could very well have Ashe have 999 MP showing without any MP-boosting equipment....

  • @ulillillia HI! How can I LP Grind in the begining, but without Dustia?

Is there any way ,or is just Dustia?

I wanna have LP to clear the Licence Board with Vaan

    Thanks!

  • The area around the South Bank Village is by far the best and easiest place to get LP very early. Just get a bow or something and avoid collecting the loot (unless, obviously, it's along the way). The 3 zones from the South Bank Village to the Outpost is packed with enemies. Cross the Outpost to the rogue tomato area and return to the South Bank Village. Save at the gate crystal, quit, reload, and repeat. Avoid nehkbet though. This is about 100-120 LP in about 8-12 minutes.

  • @ulillillia Thanks a lot!

  • It's the burning bow, the most powerful weapon you can get before Nalbina Dungeons. Stage 5 of my "how to get level 99 fast & early" series explains the method behind it.

  • is that the seitengrat? If not, what is it

  • "Next" is how much more experience you need to get before you level up. Each time you level up, the next higher level requires a little more experience. Level 1 needs something like 57 or so. Level 98 needs 524K.

  • oh ok thank u and just one more question :) how long did it take u roughly to get to lvl 99? (not game time) in normal time 1 or 2 days?

  • Assuming 12-hour days (which is a pretty good average), it took me about 8 days.

  • i like the technique used to lvl up 99 and i might do this for fun since i already completed the game =D but i heard that the other characters will not be same lvl as vaan lvl 99 if u do something wrong ? im not quite sure could u tell me cuz i wouldnt like to have just 1 99....i would get rly fustrated =S

  • If you get Vaan to level 99 before getting Balthier and Fran, then everyone will be level 99 once you get them. If you do get Balthier and Fran, but don't get Basch, then you'll have 4 characters at level 99 and by this point, you can use the much faster Garamsythe Waterway method and have level 99 for 4 characters with only 40 hours on the game clock. See the "how to get level 99 fast & early" video series for details on how to do this step by step.

  • wow great job man but i've got to say when it comes to me i cant spend 75 hours leveling i can spend a couple hours leveling. but i'll give it a try i'm willing to do anything to beat the game the farthest i've gottin is to giruvegen.

  • The Nabreus Deadlands and a secret route with 25 "dead bones" enemies closely packed is the best place to level up and get rich. I don't know if you have access to it, but the Cerobi Steppe is the best place of all (cast "death" on the flying enemies and use ranged weapons on the other enemies), for solo leveling. You can have level 99 in as little as 50 hours with almost no story progress (just before Basch joins permanently) and I even have a video showing you how to do it!

  • i no i've seen all of ur vids to lvl up. and i like them alot. but i prob. will do wat ur doin when i finaly beat the game but this is how much patchionts i have. it took me 3 atemps to abtain my first demonsbane sword. then i went back to save. and then i went to get a second demonsbane and it took over 30 trys to do it. and i was gettin really ticked i'm one of those ppl that likes to find out wat happens next in a story.

  • Leveling up in this game is rather tedious and highly monotonous. You don't have to do this process all in one go. Just create a separate game save file, being careful not to overwrite it, then, when ready again, return to it until you get bored and repeat the process. It's the same with my game development too - I get bored of it, after some time, but then after a few weeks or months, I return, go strong, then get bored of it.

  • yeah i'll do that. but i have got to say i'm doin better this time around then last i'm at a higher lvl lvl 18's ans 19's and i have 2 demonsbanes and 1 death bringer wich the death bringer tahes over 900 hp from every enemy right now and i'm headin to mt. bur-omusace. so i'm doin pretty good but the deathbringer was really hard to get tho. lol.

  • Hey Ulillillia, at the end of the game do you start over with all the same exp, gil and weapons?

  • Unfortunately, no. There is no "new game +" type option. You basically return to the title screen where you can reload your game or start a new one from level 1 and at the story's beginning.

  • ok 2 thing; one, did you use a gameshark and 2, where did you get those weapons?

  • I don't have a GameShark for the PS2. The exact processed I used, until before stage 6, is explained in the "how to get level 99 fast & early" video series. Unlike there, I waited until, without the "focus" license, I could defeat "dive talon" in 4 hits (ignoring the case of the enemy dodging the attack). After stage 5 of the process, just keep on defeating the enemies in the Westersand, following the tactics explains in stage 4, adding dive talon into the mix when the conditions are met.

  • how do you get the third quickening? when i try to get it, it says that all the others will be removed.

  • There are 18 quickening spots on the license board and 6 characters. This means each character can get 3 quickenings. Upon getting the third, all other quickening slots are removed for that character, but not other characters - read the message carefully. This means that all 6 characters can get 3 quickening slots. Although untested, you may be able to get 3 characters with only one quickening space gained, but still have all 3 mist charges. I have yet to test this, however.

  • where can I level up fast? I just beat judge bergan and three of my characters are lvl 30 but the rest are lvl 20s.

  • Judge Bergan is about halfway through the game, and thus, you'd normally be around level 25. You shouldn't need to worry about your level 20 characters. Keep them as reserves for reviving your main party (and if you're careful enough, you shouldn't need this). For level 30, consider using Mosphoran Highwaste (about 650 exp an enemy to all 3). If you want those level 20 characters up, consider using the Ozmone Plains. I've never been that far in the game without everyone on level 99....

  • thanks a lot! umm just wondering how did you get to level 99 so fast?

  • I can tell you haven't watched the first two segments of this series. The first segment shows level 64 and the second shows 98 going to 99, with less than 100 hours of play. It's looking like level 99 in under 75 hours is feasible, potentially even 60. However, to do that, you have to complete the Nalbina Dungeons event so you have access to the level 39 enemies in the Garamsythe Waterway, worth 3000 exp a piece.

  • ah great job nick keep up the awesome work.

  • Ulillillia I just finished reading your book. "Pizza Break" was my favorite chapter. Write more books.

  • Where can i get this book??

  • I posted a notice on my site's main index that leads you to the product page - click "add to cart" and follow the onscreen instructions to place an order. It can take about a week or two before you see the book, depending on the shipping option you choose.

  • Thanks! I will look it up

  • At what point does the game get challenging at Lv99?

(By the way I really enjoy your voice. I wish John Lennon was still alive so you and him could collaborate on some soft rock ballads.)

  • When I was going after the Zodiac Spear, those enemies ("Baknemy" especially) were challenging. Also, the entites were a good challenge along with esper battles. The game will only start having reasonable challenge by about 90% in... at least in terms of the game's story events.

  • oh god i love ur voice. i've never played ffxii but i like watching these to hear u.

  • That Ring Wyrm took a surprising amount of time to go down, but it still did nothing to you! I take it that's a type of enemy that has very high defense but doesn't put up much of a fight?

  • Actually, the ring wyrm has a lot of HP. My very rarely used Brady Games strategy guide is stating that it has nearly 130,000 HP. With immobilize active on it, ranged weapons being used, and the fact the enemy doesn't have attacks that have the kind of range to reach the characters, it's helpless which is why I consider it the most pathetic mark (there may be another one like this). I use immobilize frequently, especially on enemies I cannot defeat within 2 hits.

  • What was with the libra on the ring wyrm right before he died?

  • I have a gambit set up so that someone constantly keeps libra active, which is used to find traps and see detailed info about most enemies. When libra expires (too bad you can't just use it again before it expires to refresh it, like you can with FFT), the gambit is triggered, unless a higher-priority gambit takes place (like revival or healing).

  • Dude, this video is great. You should do something like this with SMT: Nocturne.

  • haha, "Congratulations for an otherwise effortless battle"

  • looking forward to more boss fights!

  • Wait...Last Sign In: 4 months ago...wah?

  • It's a glitch with YouTube that has been present for almost a year by now (and there's bugs I'm aware of that haven't been fixed in the last 20 months (and counting)). If you log out then log back in again, the counter resets, but if you simply avoid logging out (unwise if you're in the public or others use your computer), then that counter keeps counting. It should be based on "last activity". If I click a link, post a comment, or upload a video, the counter should reset.

  • 3:30 is why I would hate it if Fran sat in front of me at a movie theatre.

  • ulillillia you are my favorite being

    rock on

  • i cant beat Judge Ghis XD i'm too underlevelled and i cant train well on the plane thingy because they're too strong for my party XD

  • Use a back up save file if you have one,

  • One method is to stay as close as you possibly can to a save crystal then pick fights with the weaker enemies until you've gained a few levels.

  • doesnt work for me. The imperials are just too strong.

  • Even if you defeat just one, that's progress. If all else fails, you may need to start a new game then. I've taken on those entites which can defeat my characters in 3 hits (2 without shell). Cura was the only healing I had available and the battle goes on for 5 minutes, if not longer. This is probably what you're having with the imperials. You should have cura available at this point - have someone constantly cast it if needed - they shouldn't do much more than probably 80 damage....

  • i highly doubt i have Cura. However, i'll give it a try. The problem is i end up triggering the alarm and then a swarm of them fly at me and i'm just like "O_O HELP!!"

  • There are some alarms you do have to trigger. Cura was available for purchase within the sandsea area - a shop keeper there has it. I think Rabanastre has it, but you'd have to backtrack east to get there since you start at the far west of the Westersand area. Focus your attacks on one enemy, usually the one with the lowest HP. Also, use potions if you have to - they're faster to use, but you have a limited supply of them - good for emergency training. Pick enemies out one at a time, too.

  • First view. Also, man. Walkovers like this are the reason I never overlevel in RPG games, and also prefer to slightly underlevel.

  • What is a "walkover"? Is it a "walkthrough"? I'm confused. I actually love overpowering things. Try my third segment in this group - "Cuchulainn" falls in under a minute... and I only have cura to heal with.

  • Walkover = overpowering things.
