I'm not a big fan of Regine and Charice. Just an objective observation. I agree that Charice's version of Listen is better, thats' because Regine here sings like it's just one of the ordinary songs. Just look at how she sang it, parang nag videoke lang...effortless...normal lang sa kanya ang mga ganitong song kaya ndi na nya binonggahan pa mxado and she really is a good singer kaya she has nothing to prove to anyone. Normal lang yata ang magkamali no matter how great a singer you are.
I see some mean comments, but the fact is, after Regine did this version, other local singers are doing her version instead of Beyonce's. Lol. Is that what you guys call poor performance? Then why are they copying Regine's version. Especially the last part.

Vocal texture-wise, songs like this are not for Regine's vocal timbre, yet she still pulled it off. Think of Heena Easton or Barbra Streisand singing this song. They won't even try, but Regine dared. Not her best, yet still amazing and impressive.
Regine is good ... but we cannot compare her to Beyonce. If you listen to Beyonce's version, she is really the better. But Charice gave justice to the song.
