Eno co-produced 'Zooropa', along w/ Flood & the Edge while Robbie Adams did the sound mixing. Eno worked two-week shifts. The group often gave him in-progress songs to adjust and add his own personality to. He's also credited playing synthesizers, harmonium, piano, & adding samples. As far as anything else - I said anything else after Zooropa is bullocks. But it's only my opinion. I've a mate who loves whatever these guys put out & we fight all the time about 'artistic integrity'. :)
No one's probably gonna read this, but I’ll say it anyway cuz I feel at least 1 person will. I'm a young designer and graffiti artist, I know there's a million out there but I feel like my art has a unique individual style.
If you just take a min and give me a chance I'll make you a believer. I would love nothing more than to have a loyal following on youtube. If anyone who reads this could press the "THUMBS UP" others will see it. Just a simple button push will make a huge difference.
One of the best U2 songs of ever... so particular, introverted, experimental... great atmosphere... it's a pity that this is the short version of the song for radio and TV...
@bvivers - In your opinion. Those who were into them back when they first started would cite "War" as their best album. The album that included "Sunday Bloody Sunday," "Two Hearts Beat as One" and "Refugee."
It's a magnificent track because it's simple yet complex at the same time. The subtle arrangement makes the difference, together with a killer bass-line.
And the videoclip is just powerful, creepy and inspired.
I've always tried to avoid this album because people tend to say it's a slip of the band. But I've started to listen to it some weeks ago and it's trully outstanding. I guess I can't dislike anything made by U2
anyone here ever eaten a whole lemon? people drink lemonade but not many people think of just eating a whole lemon. i've tried one the other day and it wasn't bad
Zooropa was influence by the cd "Dynamo" from Soda Stereo. Compare songs: "Lemon - u2" and "Dynamo - Soda Stereo". Remember Dynamo was before. The story tells that Bono during his tour in Mexico in 1992 accept a copy of Dynamo from Soda Stereo and then u2 get the influence for this cd. Im not saying nothing wrong. Influence is comun in music.
@DirtyDayMix Listen to the song 'Claroscuro' by the band he said 'Soda Stereo' and see that the first part of the song is absolutely similar, It's probable that bono had listed to this song in the radio when u2 came to south america while they were touring and making the -Zoo tv tour-
one of bono's best vocal performances.

Zooropa is the last good U2 album (thanks in part to producer Brian Eno). Anything released after this is bullocks!
throbgrist 3 months ago
@throbgrist flood and edge produced zooropa not Eno. anything else is bullocks??? ever so slightly extreme (and pretty much bollox ) do ye not think.

I absolutely adore Edge's backing vocals in this song, and I esp love that this is Bono singing about his mother in a lemon colored dress. Beautiful.
