  • thanks for putting this up both my parents are hard of hearing along with one of my aunts and my uncle is fully deaf and i know they enjoy these videos so thanks a bunch for putting it on! :)

  • Your style of signing the song and the music itself is very familiar. I wonder why...

  • This is fantastic! So expressive. It's my 2.5-yr-old son's favorite Christmas video. He's been signing since he was 8 months, and he's really trying to copy you. ;)

  • Hi!

Thanks for posting these videos my 18mo twins lives the videos they watch signing time all of the time and they look so cute trying to do the whole song, i will definitely be showing this to my niece who is deaf. THANKS!

  • Wow... thank you guys very much for supporting me on this! I just stopped responding because it wasn't worth it! But thanks so much for watching... I feel very honored for you to play my videos in your dorm... have a wonderful holiday season everyone!! :)

  • (continuation) Criticizing someone's signing is like criticizing the sound of a hearing persons voice - not to be done by either the hearing or the deaf community. Encouragement, offering helpful corrections, and patience are key. This song is interpreted very well and would be well-received and understood in the ASL community.

  • Wow an ASL 1 student is criticizing others signing ability? Not cool. The first thing people who take up ASL education should learn is that it is a conceptual language, it is not simply translating each english word into a single sign (that is signed english or Pidgin). Also, signs vary from region to region and also are often delivered with small variations from person to person. (continued)

  • And for @jnettie321 this is awesome. I love your videos. I just learned Rudolph, so I signed it with your video - it was great practice.

  • i think u did a great job and to the idiot being rude and critisizing ur video if u dont like it then DONT WATCH IT!!!!! im in asl 1 and when i go to tutoring to get help they show me different signs than wut my professor does, everyone has different ways of teaching. good job.

  • you are really good im ten years old and i tryed that i got some of it but some bit went down the drain lol well done serious talent

  • these are not the correct signs

  • @klaiemichelle - What signs are incorrect?

  • @allyrockks15956 this is more of a conceptual interpretation and other videos on here of this same song are more signed english... ASL is much different than that and that's what this is... it's a shame that you couldn't understand it.

  • @allyrockks15956 well obviously being in ASL 1 makes you know everything... This was actually inspired by a Deaf person so I think I'll take the Deaf persons way over anyone's especially since it's their language. Simmer down some it's not that big of a deal... I just asked which signs were wrong... maybe if you gave me specific signs I could let you know why I chose that sign and not the standard sign that you would see in a Signed English version.

  • @jnettie321 I'm in asl, not sign english & people making up signs . I needed to know this song because im doing it for a project. and i need the correct signs.

  • @allyrockks15956 Then you should do it yourself. It's called interpretation for a reason. :)

  • @allyrockks15956 Then you should be able to interpret it on your own, that's the point it's an interpretation. Grab an ASL Dictionary and get cracking!

  • @jnettie321 i liked it. different from how we did it but like it as real ASL. and i am HOH so i say it's good. forget what other person said. just ASL 1 student, so not know much. i'm actually going to play your videos in my dorm for open dorm when people visit.

  • @allyrockks15956 I'm in ASL 1, too, and the first thing we learned was that signs vary. It's just like the English language - depending on where you go you'll have different accents. When a phrase (like a line in a song) is being translated, it's not always translated word for word, so for "o're the fields we go" you're not going to sign "over" "fields" "we" "go." You'll do something like @jnettie321 did. I don't know the signs the same way she does them, and I understood her just fine.

  • @jnettie321 Your signs are correct... People hv to realize that there are different styles of signing and different ways of interpreting words and phrases. Keep up the great work!
