They kind of are different characters when you think about it, like the same past but different outcomes. Each one is good in their own right and the characters worked for their purposes in the show. As much as I loved Ruby and wanted her to be good, it wouldn't have made sense if she didn't betray Sam and Dean, though I still say she truly loved Sam!

im not a fan of gen. and it wasnt the budget. if u looked at the message boards the fans were trying to get ruby off. and if it was rely cost how whould they be able to put gen on. she and katie prob cost the same. it doesnt matter though. i love the video. and lets just leave it as they are both good actresses in different roles
