  • Did you wrote "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" ?

  • Hey What kind of snare is that?

  • @gibsonman58

Hi There! Sorry about the late response!! The snare drum is a Taye stainless steel, I believe... a great rock drum!!

    Thanks for watching my videos!!

    Dale Anne

  • Lotsa good comments here for ya DA, but I just love your smile! It truly displays your enjoyment in your drummin'...which ain't bad either.

  • I put your video as one of the featured videos in my page.. I love it =)

  • There's soul in your drumming, really like all your videos....I'm an open handed drummer, so I think I'd really like to try the way you've set up your kit....

  • I absolutely loved this - thank you.

  • I enjoyed your drumming very much. Keep it up!

  • Sorry but I think that tom set up would make one's drumming very limited... although I do agree that it would make you play differently and one's creativity would be expressed and challenged in a new way.

  • I like the placement of your hihat!!! How did you do that?

  • Hey Dale Anne~ Thnx for the response. You can also check out my drumming style on youtube under The Jill Warhol Band.

    Take care and rock on!

    Debi

  • hey that is a very interesting way to put your toms do youi find it easier to play like that?

  • @PaulDavisify

Hey Paul: Actually, I found it difficult to get used to having the toms set up in that fashion, but I really enjoyed having the hihat out in front. It makes you play different fills when you have the toms like that. Thanks for viewing my videos!

    Dale Anne

  • Hi Dale Anne~ You have a real sweet touch to the drums. I have been playing for over 4 decades. Are you currently playing with a band? How did you get started drumming?

Drumming has been my passion my entire life. Keep up the good work!

    Deb Pomeroy

  • Hey now, Dig it all! You sound GREAT!

  • Hey! Great stuff!

How did you exicute that last fill before the outro? Its pretty wicked!

I'm hoping to follow in your footsteps one day!

You should check out some of my videos sometime!

    ~K

  • Hi there! I don't suck up very well but I agree you are a very good drummer so may I have permission to copy your licks? very inspiring and thanks always.

Very great video by the way ;)

  • Hi Dale Anne!

You're so fantastic and bless with your talent. When my 7 yrs old grandaughter watch your video, she immediately requested me to buy her a drum kit. So I bought her a Sonor drum kit to start with. Hope she will be a good drummer like you someday. More power to you and God Bless....

  • Hi Dale Anne,

This is so great to hear/see a joyful rock song with such cool drumming ! You kick it !

And I definitely love your snare drum sound. It looks (and also sounds) like a LM400 series from Ludwig, am I wrong ?

Thanks for the pleasure you give me enjoying your drumplay.

    Keep it up !

    Slideaway

  • Hi there:

Thank you so much for your comments- you made my day! The snare drum is a Taye maple - awesome drum, cranked up nice and high. Good luck with your drumming!!

    Dale Anne

  • @daleannebrendon Hi there! I stumbled upon some of your fine videos and I really enjoy your work! What a great discovery!

Please do not be offended, but, I have to admit that you are also perhaps the most fun drummer to watch as you are very attractive and your facial expressions show everyone your passion for playing as well as your impressive talent! Please take care of yourself and enjoy a very happy, healthy, and prosperous 2011.

  • I love your cymbals! specially yours crashes and ride. Congratulations for your drumming! very good sound. Ah! your rigth crash is a Sabian extra thin crash 17" ? because in the Sabian´s site it does not apear

  • Hi There! Yes, I believe that probably is my Sabian extra thin 17"... one of my favorite cymbals. It may not be on the website as I move them in and out of my set-up, either a 16" or 17".

Thanks for your interest, good luck with your drumming!

    Dale Anne

  • wat is the artists name of that "DO I" song ?

  • got a lesson on what you are doing at 0:37-0:43 ?

  • Hi There! Thanks for watching my video! At that place I am playing on the floor tom, and throwing a triplet in between the bass drum and RH, LH. Eighth notes, like on a ride cymbal pattern, then a triplet, BD, RH, LH. Kinda hard to explain in this format!! Good luck with your drumming!!

    Dale Anne

  • This is very musical and inspiring.Just straight to the point of what the drums really are integrated into the music!

    I dig your snare so much.What's that brand,also a Taye ?

  • Hi CSS:

Thanks so much for the compliment, you made my day!! That's a maple Taye snare drum. I am playing on Sonor drums now, they also really rock! Good luck with your drumming!

    Dale Anne

  • is she pro???

  • Very cool!!

  • congratulations you look so great!!!!

  • good job. pretty tight.

    -fellow londoner

  • you are absolutely rocking

  • i think you had this quiestion before but why do you have such a weird kit set up ?

    btw nic drumming ;)

  • In a nutshell, I prioritize the hihat by having it right in front of me, accessible with both hands. Then the toms are symmetrical on left and right side, to try and open up my left side to be more ambidexterous. It's fun but very different, and leads to more time-oriented playing usually : )

  • Hey Camrizzle, why don't you buy it? It's for sale!! Xmas is coming...

  • Marry Me? :D

  • Love your style. Daring to be different too. Refreshing.

  • wow i love your set up! its awesome and unique:D

how long have you been playing for? your very good and your kit sounds awesome!

  • you are really really good. do you think you could give me any advice for tuning snare drums? i like to get a nice pop out of them, but im having trouble with my 6x14 birch snare. keep up the great work!

  • Tuning Snare drums, yes... Make sure both heads are really tight!! Most people who don't like their snare sound don't have them tuned high enough!! Tune your toms low, your snare high!! You'll know when it's too high because it will be choked, but other than that, keep crankin' it!

Good luck and thanks for checking out my videos! Dale Anne

  • thank you, i recently tighten up my 6x14 snare, and i have found it to have a fat sound but with just the right amount of overtone. i have the standard sized PDP 805 series kit which was a great choice for me. its pretty easy to tune. is there anything different for maybe an acrylic or a 6x10 popcorn snare?

  • Your sickest female drummer on youtube..I have ever seen!..Not kidding!

Amazing!!!!..thats an awesome setup too...very cool!!!!

  • toca muuuuuuuuuuito

  • what's the splash that you're using?

  • Hey, I was just wondering ...

Are you using double ended sticks?

It looks like you switch your right stick around at about 00:23.

  • okay, I'll be honest since you asked. I am not really a stick twirler... when I twirled them for the intro, I ended up on the wrong end, then had to switch around at the first chance I got. That's what made me laugh at that point!! I use ProMark maple 721's... they rock!! Good luck with your drumming!

    Dale Anne

  • Oh alright, thanks for being honest XP.

And thanks for wishing me luck, I'll strive to be as good a drummer as you some day.

  • im not a stick twirler either, i can but i dont cause it screws my playing up, i hate it when people look down on me cause i cant play double bass as fast or spin sticks as fast as they can. but at least we dont let out playing suffer from trying to pull off stuff that we cant, right?

  • Your an AMAZING!!!! DRUMMER!!!!

And I already love this song!!

    Great job!

and one more thing, what sabian hats are you using?

  • Hi There! Thanks for your compliments!! I use 13" Sabian Bright Hats (Hand Hammered). Good luck with your drumming!

  • Hey great job! Just a question, what's the splash cymbal you use in this video?

  • Awesome!!!!
