If somebody want quality... In my opinion the best version of this song you all can find on Liberty Bell single and also on Accessories album (track no. 9). :) Just acoustic guitar and Anneke voice (doubled in studio I think). That version was recorded "somewhere summer 1996" Search for it on iTunes or Nokia Music Store. :)

well, this was in 98 and she was starting out. I'm pretty sure there's a a vid on here with her and the original Lacuna Coil members singing one of the singles off their first Ep, believe me her voice was cracking amd she couldn't control it. Thankfully it's gotten better

Christina just really isn't cut out to be a Gothic Metal singer (her range is terrible and she can't project for shit). Maybe she would sound better in some mindless pop-rock band or one of those crappy alternative metal bands that were all the rage not to long ago.

For that comment I take you really haven't listened enough to Cristina's voice to make such statement. Whoever has ears can clearly hear she is indeed gifted with a voice. The fact that she can't manage it well onstage involving all the physicall energy doesn't mean she can't sing. Granted, her voice isn't suited for this song, but she IS a talented singer. I invite you to take your time and listen to some songs before you can say she can't sing. Preferably pre-karmacode.

nah, I've tried doing that (twas their first EP). Couldn't get through half of it. it really sounded more like alternative metal than gothic metal (probably something to do with that god awful male singer). I didn't feel any power or emotion behind her vocals, they sounded very rehearsed to me. Face it, we just aren't going to see eye to eye on this. Thanks for posting something intelligent as opposed to something like "fuck you faggot", though.

Her problem with live performances was that she didn't get ready vocally before the show, and she's admitted to being a procrastinator. Recently, she's gotten better, her voice has improved dramatically which leads me to believe she's finally gotten a vocal coach (yes!) But I disagree with your comment completely.

I think is interesting that:

1) you remember a concert happened a decade ago.

2) you say Cristina was of when the song is... RECORDED and she clearly doesn't sound off. The fact you like Anneke doesn't really allow you to talk shit about Cristina... I actually think that Anneke's voice is a little annoying sometimes and Cristina has a more powerful voice.

But who cares, it's pointless to compare them, as soon as the voices are completely different!!!!!!
