  • Finally a really good video lesson about Wicca! I've been searching for something simple that starts from the ground up and teaches all aspects of Wicca, not only the magick. Thumbs up!

  • I love love love your voice!

  • You can say the same thing about Christianity and all other religions on how there is many different takes and beliefs.

  • it would have been great to find these videos when i was starting out.

    Congrats and good job :)

  • Wiccan do as ye will and harm no one, so how can other religions tells us we're evil when we are the ones that are "torchured" by them? Is it a Christian belief to harm someone who is not of their religion? Is that the message that is said to punish us?

  • @VanDowall all the abrahamic religions tell to harm

  • @MegaVladimir1988 You have the right to disagree with our beliefs, but don't punish us for it.

  • @VanDowall lol. i will not punish no one , i was just saying those religions do

  • @MegaVladimir1988 Thank you.

  • @MegaVladimir1988 How do you explain, thou shall not kill in the commandments?

  • @ZOMBIErxPrescription What do you mean ? all religions that were started with the idea of one god, went on killiing all pagans and non believers. They considered that it was ok to kill others because they were doomed anyway .

  • i still believe their is no god or goddess, however i do believe in the energy of the earth and the universe, for the reasons we are made up of atoms created by star dust. If i were to follow the wiccan path that i am facinated in, would i still be able to, without achknowledging any gods or goddesses?

  • @scairah Yes, you can still practice Wicca without acknowledging a god or goddess. I teach that divine merely takes on these faces, so however you view and connect with the divine is applicable. There are verying opinions on this, and this is my opinion based on my beliefs and experiences.

  • @fireflyacademy

i wish someone will shut me up , i am a youtube comment addict and it hurts me .

  • so when u said that Wicca can b a privit study, should i inform my parents about my interest of Wicca even though their not very religious?

  • @kiki9627 That is up to you. Conside how it might change your relationship. Will it make you closer? Or put a wedge between you? Is your spirit just screaming to let them know this part about who you are? Or, do you not care if they know?

  • @fireflyacademy i see. so i'll need to think about it and decide on my own. so is this like part of my journy aswell?

  • @kiki9627 It can be. Even the smallest things that we don't intend to be a part of our spiritual path can change us. Like the rain we had today. I had to walk in it on the way home. It caused me to glow with happiness from the core of my being. I was vibrating in alignment with the universe for that time, and I didn't intend for that to happen. I just forgot my umbrella.

  • @fireflyacademy wow...you and your videos are so amazing because you can talk so spiritualy and i still understand and feel the same way...and your such a huge help, thank you very much.

  • @fireflyacademy You speak of the many cycles we go thru. Do women's menstrual cycle count as a powerful time? I think I read somewhere that it does, especially while doing rituals.

  • @VanDowall - Yes, mentstral cycles are powerful as well. They mirror the cycle of the moon, being cycles of 28 days.

  • i really believe that it would benefit all people trying to revive old traditions to study hindu rituals...as they are an unbroken stream of tradition....the pagan / witch movement is too tainted with judeo christian distortions....a great place to start is with the "PUJA" ritual worship of idols....hindus worship the gods long abondened by europeans!!! most anthropologists agree hindu dharm resembles what pagans in western europe practiced...yantras(sigils) mantras(invocation) etc. etc.

  • 0:36

You forgot the charge of the god

Wiccan rede is not nessesary and can be misleading sense Wicca accept hunt and selfdefence.

    3:30

There are more than one detiy. So yes Wicca is polythestic but you are correct in that Wicca also is a pantheistic.

    5:33

Initating is an accept into a coven leaded bye a preist and preistess

    6:57

All modern witches are wiccans but not all wiccans are witches sense not all wiccans are initating (witchcraft is secret teaching in a coven)

  • Initiation is not always into a coven or a group. Solitary practitioners can initiate into the mysteries of the universe on their own. I understand that this is not everyone's opinion, but this is what I was taught, there are several authors that write about this view point, and this is what I teach. Not all modern witches are Wiccans, but yes, Wiccans are witches. While I respect that this is your opinion, it is not always the case.

  • There exist not "selfinitating". But those wiccans who are alone becomes wiccans bye worshipping the god and goddess described in the charge of the god and goddess.

  • Yes all modern witches are wiccans BUT not all wiccans are witches since they exist alot of wiccans who don't belongs to a coven. Witchcraft is not something you can learn in a book but only be learned in a coven leaded bye a high preist and preistess. An another word for "modern witch" is "a wiccan who belongs to a coven" The coven practices witchcraft. Like the Goddess say "There shall ye assemble, ye who are fain to learn all sorcery (witchcraft), yet have not won its deepest secrets;"

  • this teached me more alot about wicca than i already knew oh and also you look exacly like one of my friends

  • very interesting concepts

  • Im sure you can harm, but I don't think they would help you unto that matter.

Is there a path of the God aswell?

  • Do you mean like The Boy, the father and the sage?

I'm not 100% sure, but that's what I heard. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

  • This is really interesting thanks so much!

  • why cant xians stay in the xian channeL? I dont get it..

  • *sigh* I wish fundies would just let us practice in peace...

  • This helped me, although I already knew this stuff, listening to it again is helpful.

  • wow this has helped me a lot thank you so much ;}}

  • This is a pointless argument, because you and I will disagree until the cows come home. There are two very different points of view on this.

  • I think the argument that only traditional Wicca is true Wicca is a bit like arguing that only Eastern Orthodoxy is true Christianity or that only Theravada Buddhism is true Buddhism. Religions change and evolve over time or they fossilize and die. Gardnarian Wicca is coven based, initiatory, authoritarian, traditional and liturgical. It has evolved into forms which are not. Are these forms truly Wicca? Are Protestants truly Christian? Why argue over words and definitions.

  • It absolutely isn't - look up an actual WICCA book - it's a initiatory path stemming from Gerald Gardner.

To initiate into Wicca you must be initiated into a coven.

There's nothing wrong with the video that I care about other than that. It's fine that the rest of it pulls from other spots. But it's eclectic paganism, not wicca.

  • Initiation is "Initiation is a rite of passage ceremony marking entrance or acceptance into a group or society."

    There is NO solitary initiation.

  • From the same Wikipedia article that you took your definition from, "In an extended sense it can also signify a transformation in which the initiate is 'reborn' into a new role."

  • And that's fine - but you still can't initiate yourself.

  • Even in self-initiations, the initiation is "performed" by the divine into some of the Mysteries of the universe. It is not always at the moment one does the ceremony, but the practitioner will transform into a new role....group or no group.

  • This is eclectic witchcraft. You have to be initiated into Wicca.

  • This is a false statement.

  • Yea the magority of spirituality really works. Most people don't believe it because they think its either of the devil or just plain ridiculous, but the people who try it find out it works.

  • This is a really interesting concept, but one thing gets me . . . does magic or magick actually work for any wiccans who may see this comment and care to reply?

  • it depends what kind of magick you are looking for, if you are looking for higher levels of magick ( i cannot do) then no, but small things like predicting what side a coin will fall on or what suit in a deck of cards in next, then yes

  • How is it with wicca and homosexuals? it seems to me they should be tolerant, SOME wiccans have spoken very homophoebicly in the past.

  • There is no single/official point of view of Wicca and homosexuality. Each person has his or her own perspective. I would say that Wiccans generally "live and let live" when it comes to same-sex issues, however, it is not surprising that some don't feel that way. Religion is one of many factors that play into one's openness to homosexuality, which may include our family's views, the way we were raised, and the environment that we grew up in.

  • Thanks for semi-subtitle and for spelling so good when you speak!!! I'm italian but i have understand much of what you have said! Very very thanks, your video is very intersting ... sorry for my english!

  • This is an amazing video, thanks for posting it :D

  • amazing

i was looking for a teacher but this works

  • Just to say I found out it was a candle wick lol, I feel stupid now lol, it did look like some insect but obviously not thinking probaly you use candle wicks again and again so it would be burnt and it it looked like something else

    Many Apologies

    Ps Serenity Dove

  • Good video, But i'm curious why at the start before speaking about wicca it shows someone burning an insect, thats not very wiccan to me and it looks more satanist to me and disgusts me, I am a wiccan and of course know wiccans are not satanists at any means but has anyone else seen it. Wiccans don't make sacrafices!!! Thats just Blasphamous to Wicca!

  • That's not burning an insect! That is someone lighting the wick on a candle.

  • firefly: Well spotted!

  • I am on a journey to become wiccan Blessed Be )0(

  • You're going to learn and learn your hole life if you're a wiccan or want to be one. And if you want you could be a wiccan, if you feel it's the wright way, if you belief in the god and the godess, the power of yourself and of the natur, the elements. =)

  • I´m afraid I´m too dumb for understanding this...I´m going to worship Heaven Queen and Heaven Father with my own way !

  • thank you

  • love it blessed me )o(

  • Wow great video, blessed be )0(
