  • why is live after death on here? he sounded horrible tht night

  • @A18P Wow I thought I was the only one that thought Bruce sounded like shit on Live after death ..

  • @cjf7991 ya dude on the cd he sounds great but i own the dvd and hes awful that night

  • 6:16-6:29....holy shit man!

    that was bruce dickinson

  • ohh so hot and sexy

  • @MrRoker1981 Agreed

  • Nice rank, but it missed up some maiden vocals between 90-93, for me that was bruce's best period live singing, check some raising hell stuff or some no prayer on the road gigs..

  • 0:42 Why is he bleeding?

  • @Hayato6417 I think its because he accidentally hit himself in the face with his guitar, but I'm not completely sure. :)

  • @TheIronMaiden665 Its true.

  • Great list man

  • For me Hallowed by the name 1982 BOH is 1

  • How about The Talisman in Finland?

  • No mention of Aces High from Flight 666?!

  • Beautiful! Awesome!! Bruce Dickinson is the best!!! \m/ <3

  • :)

up the irons, bruce is a genio

  • We are now listening Bruce Dickinson. Just like the people in 18th century listened to Vivaldi or JS Bach, which are still listened to in this day and way more centuries to come. I'm glad to live in the same era with this guy, don't you think?

  • #1 Fear Of The Dark

    Rock In Rio 2001

  • OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG !!!!!!!! *_____*

  • My idol

  • what happened to his face at 0:43? and yes, quite odd seeing him with a guitar

  • @rockarolla306 He was doing headbanging thing and the edge of the guitar hit and scratched his eye.

  • @rockarolla306 He hit himself in the face with that guitar by accident lol. But he didnt miss a beat, he kept on singing with blood running down his face. Because Bruse is the man

  • @charliegrs actually he was running out of the stage while the instrumental part was being played and he hit daves guitar tech.

  • THAT WAS AMESOME!!!!! WHERE EAGLES DARE IS... SO... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU**

    Thanks uploader.

  • Gran video! pienso que la mejor performance de Bruce fué la tercera, children of the damned, aún sin animarse a cantar como en la grabación de estudio la última palabra del tema que en la versión estudio es impresionante.

    Saludos desde Argentina

  • Where eagles dare? This is the best song that have ever been created. There's no how to listen anything better, is not the composition, not the lyrics, but the song, the mix between guitars, bass, drums and Bruce's voice made the song the beautiful thing that it is.

  • Aces High from Live after Death and I just fell in love with his mighty voice...

  • God.

  • Shivers. A lot of shivers.

  • Он великий человек!

  • Rock In Rio 1985 - Bruce was sick the entire concert as well. The whole band got sick when they returned to the States after this to finish The World Slavery Tour. They cancelled the final two nights at Radio City Music Hall.

  • Yes they * intentionally * got a camera right in on Bruce's face so the world on TV could see Iron Maiden bleed for their record audience.. something like a few hundred thousand people!!

And be sure to check out Bruce's awesome singing on SAMSON: LIVE AT READING. You will be glad you did.

  • 5:34 the best perfomance ever of HBTN

  • Rock in Rio 1985 Brazil!!

    250.000 peoples!

  • Where is Rock in Rio 2001? :-/

  • Children of the Damned, AWESOME!

  • the fuckin best EVER

  • Why bruce in Rio is bleeding?

  • Yep. Good choices... Revelations in Long beach Arena...first time I heard Bruce´s voice, became imediatly adicted to it:). Awesome voice!

  • @Tuscopa This was on Rock In Rio 85' not Long Beach Arena...

  • @lioubinos99 Yep. I know that. Was just saying this is a good choice, Bruce as an amazing voice and this song, in my opinion, makes it become even more aparent. And then i gave the foremencioned example ;). This one was when Bruce threw the guitar and it landed right on is face, I believe. I have a DVD with that live performance. Thanks for the info nevertheless.

  • @Tuscopa No problem mate!I just thought that you misunderstood the video and thought that this particular performance is from Long Beach Arena!

    UP THE IRONS!

    BEST BAND EVER!

  • @lioubinos99 Yep. All good. They are a great band indeed and their frontman is one of the best ever. And he has got an amazing voice! Though not listening to Maiden as I used to, when I get to ear some of the classics like this one, shivers go down my spine:). They are that good. And that Long Beach Arena show and Bruce´s voice back in 85/86 were the ones that converted me into them.

    Take care man.

  • I was like "what the fuck is this?! How can a band be this awesome?! I find that particular album amazing. All five members (back then) at their best:) They still remain that way nowadays.

    Take care man. \m/

  • @Tuscopa I can totally understand you!

It was Rock in Rio(2001) the first concert I saw,and I had the same reaction!

Surely Powerslave is a great album!as all of their albums!

    You too brother!

    UP THE IRONS!

  • I saw them live in Houston exactly 28 years ago today. Piece of Mind. (Not sure what Bruce is doing with a guitar in his hands...) Awesome video. Thanks for posting!

  • @timbirchard He always played the clean riff at the first slow part in "Revelation" while the other two played the leads.

  • @timbirchard He played guitar for that concert and he threw it up in the air mid song and when it came down it cut his forehead open but HE STILL PLAYED THE REST OF THE CONCERT. IRON FUCKING MAIDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MagiclampX i think you are wrong. When he went to let the guitar at backstage after play the slow part he crashed with Murrays guitar. Dave Murray was behind him, he turned and crashed. He was a litlle shocked but he could finish the concert. GREAT BRUCE!!

  • @timbirchard he started as a guitar player actually and then got into singing ; )

  • @timbirchard yep I thank him to but did not see you by than:)) Was a fine concert, really Maiden

  • @timbirchard he then cracked open his forehead with it by accident, as you can see him bleeding. watch the whole thing. metal used to be bloody.

  • WAS BRUCE BLEEDING?

  • it's funny not seeing nikko smiling and making his faces behind the drums =p

  • Now, how many pussies out there would have stopped the show after being hurt and begin bleeding?

  • okay i finaly have the perfect list

    #1.Powerslave-Flight 666

    #2.Dream of Mirrors-Rock in RIo

#3.Tears of the Dragon-Scream for me Brazil

    #4.The Clansman-Rock in Rio

    #5.Winds of Change-Live 1990

  • THE BEST!

  • the only problum with this is, is that their all pretty mucg 80's bruce. what about a rock in rio performance? or a flight 666 performance?

    #1.Powerslave-Flight 666

    #2.Dream of Mirrors-Rock in Rio

#3.Tears of the Dragon-Scream for me Brazil

#4.Hallowed be thy Name-best over hammersmith

    #5.Flight of Icarus-Dortmund 1983

  • Missed Fear of the Dark at Donnington ´92

  • dumbass. bruce ran into dave murray and his guitar hit bruce in the face

  • I propose a challenge ... There is a better band than Iron Maiden? do not know where these guys took so much inspiration ... may be of another world

  • cool vid man! when he sings "running low" the second time followed by his scream i feel like im being elevated from my chair almost floating hahaha (im not high) same effect when he hits high notes on where eagles dare. maiden is magic! music is magic! love them up the irons!

  • Bruce makes it look so easy! A true professional. Cheers!

  • @cerburuus lol your kidding right? the Flight 666 version Bruce sings it perfectly and his voice sounds full and powerful and beautiful to. on Maidenenglund i hate to say it but he struggles a lot. dont get me wrong im like his biggest fan and i will always say its a fact that he is the greatest singer of all time, that just was not his "Best" performnce

  • a perfect list.

    UP THE BRUCE!!!

  • #1.Powerslave-Flight 666

#2.Tears of the dragon-alive at marque

    #3.Where eagles Dare-Hammersmith Odean 1983

    #4.Hallowed be thy name-Hammersmith 1982

    #5.Moonchild-Flight 666

  • @TrueIronMaidenFan Moonchild - Maiden england is more strong than flight 666 version

  • These are all Awesome and great in any way that it is possible. But No# 1 Should be Sonisphere in Finland 2011! He nailed it better than the romans crusifying jesus.

  • 0:39 what happen to Bruce's face? Is he bleeding or something? UP THE IRONS

  • Man I hope when I die I can see these guys play in heaven

  • Living legend ... nothing more to say :)

  • the greatest singer of all time! thats a fact and those who disagree dont know shit

  • wey la primera no es de rock in rio, es de Live After Death

  • @BrDa97 wrong. The first is from Rock in Rio. It´s where he cut himself.. Same tour though

  • Scream for me Brazil !

  • i like more Murders on the rue morgue 1982 and the prisoner too sound great too

  • AIR RAID SIREN... thumbs up for Paul Bruce Dickinson...

  • That revelations is the version on Live After Death

  • and these days his voice and performance is even far better!

brilliant! much more feel, that does come with age.

  • Bruce is one of the best metal singers ever, and, at least for me, the best frontman ever.

  • @joseenriqueof It's always the passing of time that determines these things, and factors like how timeless was the music, did it endure the scrutiny of posterity, did following generations adopt it as their own, did the performer age well, delivering quality performances as years went by....

I was a fan in the 80's, forgot about it over the years, recently started digging up these clips, and have a new respect for Bruce and the band.

Greatest Heavy Metal band AND singer EVER.

  • @batvette Especially on the live videos is were Bruce shows that he knows how to act in stage, and if you have been able to go to an Iron Maiden concert, you'll understand better what I am talking about, no other singer makes you want to scream your balls out like Bruce does.

  • @joseenriqueof saw them twice in the 80's, back then I was going to shows at least once a month and frankly I was a much bigger Queensryche fan at the time, so I admit their performances are a blur in my memory of about 200 concerts I've been to. First time I'm certain was the Powerslave tour, second time I can't recall if it was the Somewhere in Time or Seventh Son tours. I think I had crappy seats for both so that didn't help. In retrospect I appreciate Bruce, seeing him now, over all others

  • Bruce's style of singing got so much better over the years. Sure, his voice was a bit higher in the 80's, but the technique is a lot better in more recent years. Amazing how he can still sing so well even today.

  • BRUCE USING DEAN GUITARS <3

  • this guy is awsome, but take a look at his name: DICK-IN-SON

    hahahahhaahahahahahaaa

  • ah clive burr very instinctive drummer sorry about the cancer

  • @carpetburn23

Clive Burr suffers Multiple sclerosis - not cancer

(But CliveAid raises charity for MS and Cancer)

  • i LOL at all these guys who say his voice is better in brave new world and all the albums since bruce came back but

    NO ITS NT

ask bruce to sing aces high dude it doesnt sound good now

at somwhere back in time tour wen he sang aces high it was awfull like that was bad

im nt a hater im nt a half hearted fan im a full maiden fan but im just speaking the truth

  • Comment removed

  • @edwardgreat thank u for making it more simple to understand lol

1990-1993 his voice was abit bad but he regained it in his solo albums

  • HOLY MOTHER OF ASS! O_O

  • what a voice, how beautiful, Bruce is GOD

  • @maidenchick83

yes...who would believe 1981 that Bruce would 20 years later would be working pilot flying air liners

  • the piece of mind tour (1983) performance by bruce dickinson of "revelation " is his best performance of the song, better than this one (1985)

  • @lorenzolegonzo might be cleaner/more true to the original, but I think the rio version is appealing because of the emotion Bruce obviously pours out after a painful whack in the head (looks like its swelling, probably getting woozy and a bit of a headache) makes him put that much more into it. He doesn't just carry on, he let loose with an inspired, epic performance.

He was sporting day old stubble that performance- youthful, manly man Bruce looks like a character from Conan the Barbarian.

  • Comment removed

  • get smacked with a guitar in the head, have face full of blood. What you do? get treatment? Not if you're Bruce :D If you're Bruce you finish the song :D

    This guy is awsome :D

  • if justin bieber or someone of tokyo hotel had wounded at his head,he would have cried as a child and stopped the show! What bruce did is the right reaction,of a true man and musician, fuck yeah!

  • ajjajajajaja que le paso en la cabeza!!

  • at 6:07 it looks like eddie is about to grab bruce... fucking unreal.

thank you bruce and iron maiden for getting me through the darkest times in my life.. UP THE IRONS!

  • why bruce cut in revelations what happened there

  • @Aljax21 He gets smacked in the head by Dave's guitar when he starts running around.

  • @zorland876 Wrong he hit himself with his own guitar and he was raising it to make people scream for him.

  • @losferword Ah yes of course, that was what I meant. Yeah, you can even see him whomp himself right the noggin and then run off stage real quick. What a champ.

  • @zorland876 Bruce singing while bleeding= bad ass.

  • @zorland876

He just proved this time as well that he is supercool and badass frontman :D

  • @zorland876 lol on the live after death documentry there is a interview with bruce and he is telling us about that he goes

ME: i just cut my forehead what should i do

ROD SMALLWOOD(the manager): FIND THE NEAREST CAMERA!!

  • @losferword but he says in one of dvd's documentaries, i think its the one on rock in rio 2000 that he runs into daves guitar

  • @losferword Aljax21 is right, he ran into Dave when he ran off stage to drop off his guitar.

  • @losferword Rio, can you feel it? :D

  • @losferword In the Early Days DVD, Rod Smallwood (I guess) said Bruce hit Dave's guitar headstock when he was running backstage.

  • @fallenearth Correction, (if im not mistaken) it was Steve who said he hit himself. Running into a headstock is not enough to cut someone open.

  • @losferword I'd opened my forehead with much less... the brow and forehead skins are really thin and sensitive... and a little cut can bleed a lot. Believe me =)

  • @zorland876 But of course, keeps on going... true professional!!!

  • if you was not a juvenile liról boy milk with pear ovomaltine in refrigerator you must know that bruce was attacked by rock in rio axé and pagode bands in very overture of the pleno festival mulherada carnaval

  • I have Beast Over Hammersmith, but it's the gig they played supporting The Number of the Beast, there isn't "Where Eagles Dare"... where did you get "Beast Over Hammersmith 83"? :S

  • @MarkShadowWolf Its a high-quality bootleg from the World Piece Tour.

  • @zorland876 Thanks for the info :) I'll search for it, since Piece of Mind is one of my favourite albums from Maiden, if not my fave.

  • @TboneMontana, are you kiddin? his voice is best 1995-Presant better then the 80"s

  • he had his best voice 83-86

  • BRUCE RIFA CHINGADA MADRE UNO DE LOS MEJORES VOCALISTA DE HEAVY METAL AWEVO!!!

  • hallowed be thy name, Hammersmith is the best singing I have ever heard. should be number one

  • wtf bout rock in rio????(2001)

  • Comment removed

  • @MetalCheva What's that

  • Comment removed

  • @MetalCheva Oooh, yeah I noticed and had a real facepalm moment. I assumed most knew what the actual title was though so I didn't do anything.

  • Sorry but Infinite Dreams and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son from Maiden England?

  • Okay that is in fact blood, he was running around the stage and hit the headstock of daves guitar. Rob Smallwood was talking about it in an interview

  • Bruces best perform is from...hmmmmmmm let me thing...Lets say EVERY LIVE SHOW!!!!!com on!!!

  • I prefered his Flight 666 performance of Revelations but great choices anyway. It's very rare we get even a sub-par performance from Bruce.

  • Either an overjoyed fan threw something towards Bruce, or Bruce might have hit himself in the head with the microphone. That most certainly is blood.

  • @TechNAB76 Actually it from the guitar, you can't see it here, but in the full video you can see him swinging it around after he's done playing it and smacks himself.

  • @TechNAB76 he ran ito daves guitar

  • Dickinson is the man!!!!! GOD OF THE METAL MUSIC!!!!!!!! UP THE IRONS!!!!!SERBIA LOVE MAIDEN!!!!

  • every song from Rock in Rio 2001 would be mine.....Sign of the Cross, Blood Brothers,...etc.

  • #1.where eagles dare-hamersmith odean 1983

    #2.rime of the anciant marriner-porto algre 2008

    #3.hallowed be thy name-best over hammersmith 1982

    #4.run to the hills-porto algre 2008

    #5.children of the dammed-best over hammersmith 1982

  • Great vid, however my choice of Bruce's top live performances would be different :) but it's a matter of taste

  • simplemente el mejor... esa voz no es humana

  • is that blood on Bruce's face between 0:39 and 1:02 or something else????

  • Nope, that's blood. Earlier he womped himself in the head with a guitar. Most metal thing I've ever seen.

  • Run to the Hills, Rock in Rio 2001 should be #1.

  • bruce is hands down the greatest singer of all time, this vidio clearly shows it

    UP THE IRONS DUDE

  • @onepolej AGREED

  • Cool.

  • HELL YEAH!!!
