I had a part-siamese/part-tabby do that on me one time when I took her outside. She was on a leash and went ballistic. We kept her indoors after that. But what I did was I remembered you have to cover the cat with a blanket so I took off my coat, dropped it over the ballistic cat, she stopped cold. So I picked her up in the coat and took her inside. Kitty was happy again. :)
