I've read both of his books,Things I Remember,from 1975.And My Life,My Art.He should have included even more stories about gay Paris in the 1920s.It seems like everysingle person that he's ever come in contact with,was nice.I wish I could say the same,but unfortunately I can't.
Thank you posting this!!! He's my favorite artist... I have 2 of his coffee table books with several Illustrations and pictures of his sculptures... I wish I could afford some of his real sculptures and not just pictures though....lol
The backing song is a 1938 number called 'Sweet Sue'. The music and lyrics are by Will Harris and Victor Young, and has been recorded by Benny Goodman amongst others.
I still can't get over that ever single person he ever met,was so nice.
