Great video, I wish I had you to groom my long-haired kitty. She is always getting mats and I have to sneak a snip here and there when I'm petting her. And she's always getting her tongue tangled up in her mane when she's trying to groom herself. You are very efficient and gentle.

What a difference it makes with a pliable cat. Mine is OK for a few minutes and then gets restless and sometimes evacuates (fear or anger, don't know).

I wish my long haired calico Angel was that easy...she has matts on her back,,what direction to I shave them off ..from front to back or back towards the front? thanks this video gives me the courage to shave her myself and not take her to be traumatized at a groomers

Vets usually do not cut pet's hair. Check around with your local groomers to see if they groom cats. Most groomers who work for vets sedate cats. There is usually no need 2 sedate and could kill the cat. My salon charges about $30.00 for a bath, nail trim, and hair cut of your choice.

What blade length do you use? You need a clipper vac - that machine you have is noisy!

Great job in keeping the kitty calm and safe.

I used a 15 blade with a 4 guard. The vac is noisy but the effect are great. To purchase this unit from a company is very expensive (and not so loud) but I was able to put it together for under $100.00. I was proud of myself :-)

When my daddy tries to do that to our 2 kittys, they through a fit and bits us, and eats it's shaved off fur then runs out the pet door.

That cat is well behaved. lol, Even to tie to get the kat shaved we must pin her to the table, but.... they always bit and get away.
