  • what would the sub be made of. it hardly looks capable of handling a few dozen meters

  • @routhoula Carbon fibre

  • This is the closest thing to reading science fiction.

  • Goodluck to the man that goes 36k feet under the ocean. Hope the sub doesnt break under pressure.

  • I CANNOT wait to see creatures we've never seen before! :-)

  • He's after those Spanish wrecks from the 1500's off the coast of PR. Lotta gold down there.

  • Awesome work Richard Branson. Thanks for your contributions.

  • At least this is being funded with private industry instead of our tax money. Seriously, what was the point of ever going to the moon in the first place other than to say "Aw, man, we kicked the Soviets asses! That'll teach them to fuck with us! Yeah, we're on the moon bitch! Playing golf and shit! Hell yeah."

Sorry, I just don't see the point. Yeah, it was cool, but what great scientific discoveries came out of it?

  • @ryanmshepard92 It's because of that we now know the moon came from earth. we now know what's it's like to be on a celestial body with no atmosphere. We can further attribute the power of gravity to the size of a celestial body.

All this was baseless theory before we landed.

  • @WiiAreSIN I'm not saying we didn't make discoveries, but were any of them useful? Sure, we have a few more trivial facts to add to the textbooks now, but did it really contribute to the betterment of mankind? And I'm not saying we shouldn't go to the moon or anything, I just think private industries should fund it instead. I'd rather have my tax dollars going towards humanitarian aid and public healthcare, etc.

  • @ryanmshepard92 So that we simply KNOW, that is human nature... we want more and more knowledge. There are a lot of people who would disagree with you, manifest destiny, my friend.

  • @ryanmshepard92 What useful scientific discoveries that came out of the space race? Well for starters satellites. You know, the most efficient method for world-wide communication, as well as weather tracking systems. Not to mention massive leaps in computer technology, and the internet.

  • @yourma40 waisting money?!?! With everything that can be discovered in deep sea?!

  • cool

  • @fallbread yea , very very cool !

  • Sounds like cool underwater adventures :-D

  • he really does know how to waste money
