  • Hi Tony,

Used your meatball recipe the other day and my family loved them!!

    Thank you very much!!!

  • mine were well better

  • no no no.. real garlic, plain salt and good to go!! :-) besides that, nice recipe.

  • damn i wish i could beat an egg like that. i have no problem beating my meat...i love meatballs. could i make this comment any worse lol

  • the best i ever had!!

  • my nonna kinda did it the same but her recipe was,1 pound each beef and pork,1 cup each Italian bread crumbs and Romano cheese,5 eggs,2 teaspoons fresh garlic and fresh parsley (1/2 cup) fry in olive oil put in you gravy or sauce!!

  • Is he making a fucking omelet or meat balls?

  • You have to use fresh garlic, onions and parlsley(I put abit of chopped basil as well)-makes a big difference. And I would bake them or fry them to give them a proper texture. Then in to the sauce...:-)

  • Honest to God, I have tried this recipe and the meatballs are EXCELLENT! Very flavorful and soft. Thanks for posting Tony's recipe...they're my favorite so far.

  • If you're gonna trust ANYONE to give you a proper way to make meat balls, it's a cat named Tony! Plus, he's got 'drum' and 'guitar' in his name....damn, it's GOTTA be good!!

  • at the risk of being chagrin, i wonder about the wisdom of not frying those to drain some of the grease out?

  • Good video! :)

  • Good video, but at the end you should have shown a completely cooked meatball and take a bite....

  • hell ya

  • Thanks Tony T.

  • mmmmm... looks delisshh!! :) Im trying this recipe!

  • interesting rehydrating the bread crumbs, will try! I get my gr.beef at a farmers market, it's extra lean and really tasty but too dry.. Great tips ! Cheers.. MT

  • Good Recipe! Thank You for sharing!

  • this guy is retarded..

  • Nice video...Enjoyed watching and learned a little as well...Thanks!

  • you are using your left hand

  • no hes right, the way they breed those chickens and have them crowded then off the slaughter house? not healthy for the chicken so then how is it healthy for you?

    plus chickens are ugly

  • chicken are not ugly! : j . they look so beautiful when frying in the pan !! : )

  • Nice video. Not a meat eater, but I've always wanted to make these for my boyfriend, the carnivore, and will do so tonight. =) This reminds me of how my Mom used to make them. The metal spoon on that metal bowl gave me goose bumps - get a wooden spoon or spatula! LOL

  • tu non sai cucinare

  • LOL your like me. I wash my hands after everything I do when I'm cooking. Specially since my dad won't eat unless he see's the cook do that. ;)

  • 3 extra large eggs? are ostrage eggs good lol

  • good recipe but the tapping drives me nuts

  • Would making meatballs with ground turkey be any good? Don't eat beef/pork.

  • This is very good! I use bison / pork /veal

  • I think your definitely from the Philadelphia region.

  • Try mixing some pork and veal in there as well. That's my famiy's recipe and I haven't found a meatball that rivals them yet.

  • I must try this. Sometimes I add Italian sausage. Pork and Veal sounds good.

  • @dinkidow My mom does to it tastes good to mix meats1

  • thanks tony, for the info. I'm going to fry them first

  • you should fry them first.

  • Love how he's handling the salt supply with raw meat all over his hands.

  • looks good i want to make them now..

  • I found his recipe awesome! I didn't follow his cooking technique however. I rolled the meatballs and placed them on a cookie sheet sprayed with Pam. Cooked them at 350 degrees for 30 mins. Drained them on paper towels and put them in a freezer bag and placed them in the freezer. I just took them out and defrosted them to put in the spaghetti sauce, or made swedish meatball sauce and poured it over them or bbq sauce. There are delicious!

  • yum! i LOVE soft meat balls! LOL XD

  • I use beef, pork and veal, 2 eggs garlic, parmesan basil, Italian bread crumb, seasoned salt and pepper! marjorum!

  • Pork, Yek, now i wanna throw up.

  • Chicken is the nastiest meat in modern times.

  • @thecj29 nope your face is

  • @sexyhot5150 Wow you must be a chicken farmer, your so sensitive.

  • Oh yh, and good meatballs :D

  • He has a very good point about the jewelry. Too many people cook with watches and rings and things on their hands. It's ok if you're cooking for yourself, it's your funeral. But if you're cooking for others is just not right!

  • great recipe sir. use it all the time. emeril can go to hell.god damn u.

  • :D i loved it

  • I tried his method of making meatballs even though my actual recipe was for cocktail type meatballs the method of adding the breadcrumbs to the eggs and then adding water and letting set worked great. The meatballs were soft but held together.

  • BuT the sauce in the pan??! comon! no tricks!

  • The absolute key to soft meatballs is the the thing most people probably barely notice - it's the water. I put water in my ground meat when I make burgers too. It really works. I don't fry the meatballs either. If the mixture is good enough and the sauce is good enough - no need to fry. It's overrated IMO. I alsp put fresh bread along with breadcrumbs, but these look great.

  • Thanks. I do them a little different

(as most Italian family cooks have their own little spin) but I always appreciate another person's method.

  • fabulous, im making these for tea tonight and i got a few tips x x x

  • Very nice

  • Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons . com w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)

  • Must try this :)

  • If you DO fry the meatballs would it still be a 2-3 hr cook time for the sauce? help! Thanks for the video I am a complete novice at cooking but I want to make spaghetti and meatballs for someone, wish me luck!

  • Thank you

  • Tony T you are one true Italian Stallion. Your Meatballs were amazing. My mouth is watering right now for them. The grated cheese just adds the greatest touch. You beat like a man with those eggs.

  • tony t where u live i wanna make a hole buncha meatballs with u

  • Tony T you are one hot man. I want to rub my meatballs in your mouth and then bake them in your oven. You are the man Tony T I can't wait to eat your meatballs

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Lol... classic

  • Show some respect.

  • great meatballs old dog

  • @ttrousdell lol

  • This video was wonderful Tony. I was brought up in a Sicilian household and this is exactly the way we made our meatballs and the exact time we cooked them as well! My friends tell me I am cooking my meat wrong when I do it this way but this is the most delicious way to make meat balls! Thanks so much. Phyllis

  • Tony I'm amazed - that's just excellent. Keep up the good work.

  • fantastic tony t! thank you so much for the info, you old coot, ya. Your mom must be proud, made up for her catching you beating your stinkin' pud on Sunday mornings after church like you were beating those eggs. Keep up the good work you ol' dog.

  • Great video, Tony!!!! Thanks a lot. I dont cook too much and I just made a marinara sauce from a random youtube recipe last night that was very good! Now I have to try your meatballs and I want to check out your sauce too. I probably will fry the meatballs to remove some of the fat. Super video, Tony!!! Great for those of us who are not only Italian but Italian in spirit. ;)
