I think it's just the fact that he can. They're a tinkerer. You could learn a lot if you just let go of your judgements and subject yourself to something outside of what you feel is 'comfortable.' You will be proud of yourself. :) Jordan, no, it's not a phone.
I worked a bit on this, got it to boot on my Eeepc too it stopped working :s not sure why it claimed that my battery was empty and the charger was not plugged in, so it was shuting down right after booting.
Very interesting, the screen resolution looks to short. I wonder if you can blow up the screen res to that of the laptop, maybe introduce side-by-side card views... BAM! WebOS Tablet/Slate before the devices even exist!! Would be fun to try and run that on my touch screen HP tablet... Ponders....
Awesome! We're just one step closer to actually having webOS on our computers! Just a few of questions: How do you minimize a card? How do you swipe away a card? How do you switch between cards? What about accelerometer based games and apps? How do those work?
@TheJuvenileKings I'm guessing (correct me if I'm wrong) this was a dd of the SDK disk image (which runs in VirtualBox, so it's i386 architecture). The "gestures" are done using keystrokes. At this point in time the webOS VM doesn't do accelerometer functions, so I don't think that would be supported on this machine.

You really, really need to learn how to focus your camera. Look up "macro" in the manual or click the picture of the flower. Good grief, people.

looks exactly like my latitude c600! which is kinda cool. :)
can you post any information about this, how to do it, or maybe a related thread in a forum?
do you think, in future it will be possible to use the whole screen?
i mean, my laptop actually is running linux mint, but it would be way cooler when it runs webOS!
thanks in advance.
