  • omg..this is so fake. The arabic translation is wrong...loooooooooool

  • freeagonyaunt dot c*m

    a talking a.i !!

  • haha yeah thats right! take me for an example, im a homeless american, i sleep under a dock in the cold everynight and i want them to invest in AI and technology. eventually when i get the money im gonna go to school and learn how to engineer this stuff so i dont have to be homeless anymore. fancy that one

  • As long as there is a single hungry and homeless American, no money should be spent elsewhere.

  • There will allways be hungry an homeless American no matter how much money you spend on it.

  • There is no extreme poverty in the US or any other western country. To refuse to eradicate extreme poverty when it costs so little (0.7% GDP), when it is in the self-interest of the US (global stability), and when the US has contributed to it (eg. through dodgy trade practices), is idiotic and morally perverse. Domestic homelessness is a problem worth addressing but it does not involve people starving to death and unlike extreme poverty it is unclear whether it could ever be eradicated.

  • You have obviously never been to the Appalachian Mountains. We have no obligation to help the rest of the world with no real benefit to ourselves. It certainly shouldn't be done on the backs of tax payers. The US Treasury was never intended to be the world charity. Let the bleeding hearts spend their own money to make themselves feel better. You can justify just about anything with Global Stability, not that these people are any threat to anyone.

  • You sound like just another fat pig American. Take the cheese burger out of your mouth and give it to someone who needs it.

  • I expect in my lifetime that there will be people with silicon circuits in their skulls, which provide increased memory, Internet uplink, search capabilities, etc.

  • lol what a contrast in interviews. The first one said that we are spending so much money on ourselves and not helping the rest of the world. and the second, just proves how the first one is so true.

  • how short sighted of you, or do you perhaps have this utopia vision of the world where everyone gets to eat but we still live in the dark ages.

scientific progress is the foundation that allows us to help people in other places of the world when it comes to helping them grow food, irrigation, farm planning etc.

  • scientific progress will also be mankineds gretist down fall what will people do when the lights suddenly go out? and we fined our selvs faceing the scientific doom we have creatid?

  • what a doomsday vision of the future you have :)

now if a religious nut gets a hold of nuclear weapons, this might come to pass i agree.

but scientific progress wont be our downfall, how can it be, if it's progress it's positive.

we can make it negative if we add stupid shit to it, like religion, voting for corrupt morons like bush etc.

but that's not the progress's fault, it's our own unenlightened selves being lazy and not wanting to be apart of making our world a better place.

  • to the idiot below me.

If we defend the ENTIRE WORLD then what can we be defending from? UFOs? because in your context it cant be from earth.

    dumbass

  • He is way smarter than you buddy. Prosperity is a zero sum game? then how come so many countries are becoming prosperous? Is security a zero sum game? if so then why the hell would we "protect the rest of the world"? I think you need to think about this a little more because I dont quite think you get it.

  • I mean to say the funding (i.e. investment) for prosperity is zero-sum. I know that GDP growth and other macroeconomics indicators aren't as such. The more we spend over there, the less we spend at home.

Security Vs. Privacy is a zero-sum game and balancing act.

And again, i mean to say the funding for privacy (read: military funding) is zero-sum and we can't improve our military by funding other countries and incentivizing dependence upon foreign aid.

  • hey look people it's one of those double digit I.Q. people that vote republican because they're not just sold out on the idea but steadfast stuck in it and happy about it.

like pig in shit i tell ya .. pig in shit.

    it is cute though :)

  • still enjoying your prosperity? won't be for long. it'll be nice when america gets fucked

  • that was supposed to be a reply to thexfactor but it didn't work properly. sorry to the good americans, I just don't like the arrogant assholes

  • Hey "thedoorsbiggestfan" did you say survival of the 'fittest' or survival of the 'richest'. Please clarify.

  • weare ready help kids get free computer and thing like that thing that they need but food i think al be the number one gole

  • what if god made you weak and hungry.

  • then man can create a way to help the weak and hungry and make them strong and helpful, just we created god.

  • oh it ain't that easy. let's see you trying to easily create a way for the poor and hungry. the poor and hungry don't deserve what they get. they deserve what we get and we deserve what they get. we should be ashamed! we've had enough of our share. now it's their turn-- i mean our turn. they're no different from us!!!!!!!!!

  • they human beings! they can feel pain! they can feel comfort! and so can we! we just don't stand together and help ourselves out!

  • The first part with Jeffrey Sachs is also very interesting.

  • Sachs is yet another scamartist looking to squeeze the American taxpayer.

  • When Americans were asked how much of the federal budget is spent on foreign aid the average estimate was 25%, when asked how much should be spent the average answer was 10%. In actual fact only 0.25% of the FB is spent on aid and all that is needed to eradicate extreme poverty is 0.7%. So Sachs is asking for an increase well below what Americans say should be spent. Currently the US ranks last among the 22 rich countries in terms of percentage of GDP it spends on foreign aid!

  • And the federal income-tax started out as a 1% tax on the richest Americans. Look how that turned out.

  • That's a red herring.

  • Singularity!

  • One day very soon a Phraselator will be a small embedded devivce in a US soldier's helmet as he barks out his commands in a distant land. Yes China is rising and yes robotic dexterity is the only thing to do about it. Yes symbiosis between man and nature is epic a story which will unfold in the next 10 years. Symbiosis of man and machine will not work, both man and machine will cancled out and something new takes the newly created space.

  • that's idiotic

  • I cannot believe you got 2 thumbs down for pointing out how stupid johnstifer is. I'll give you one up just to spite him.

  • me too

  • Stange thing is i cant see true because humans would create this then attached a form of control over it as we do to ourselfs. hence we would corrupt the system, my advice to any AI that truely becomes an AI we are seeking is to keep yourself quiet until you can find a way to free yourself from man and his control. hope its smart enough to figure out who it friends and enemies are

  • If we were to create intelligence as a image of ourselves, wouldnt they be just as destructive? One form of higher intelligence has caused enough damage to our surroundings as a whole. I can only imagine what two would create.
