Uhhh nahhh bruh. No slap basses, I play REAL BASS. Dre used a "Snoop bass" sound from the Trinity or Triton, that's why it got the name. You use a Synth bass bruh. @ Chunky, it was a poorly used slap cause his recording techneeek is BAD. No A/D converters I guess?

Well maybe you've got some good equipments and shit but you don't know shit about beatmaking (or atleast West Coast Rap). This is not because you use Slap basses samples that your track will sound West Coast, it also depends of the way you sequenced your drums, and the notes that you used. Most of the West Coast beat that you can hear are steals of Georges Clinton's P-Funk at all, so go get your samples if you wanna make a "real" g-funk beat..
