I used a 7x3 and a 25c 1800ma battery for a cool 40A / 500w through this same motor. I wish my 50A ESC was as cool afterwards........whats the deal? Shouldn't my ESC be more than enough for the motor? It's got a heat sink and is mounted external right in the propwash. I know the motor is probably turning alot of rpms..... I'm new to this and completely stumped! Someone help!
Thanks for the great video series. I am itching to try the thick foam for a build.
A couple of things I was wondering about:
Could you just tunnel out the whole center section of your top fuse piece and then mag a cover for it?
Also, do you think you might be creating excess turbuance and/or drag by using depron for your control surfaces creating a large pocket right at the hinge due to the difference in material thickness?

HI!! i build EPP Park Jet and it flys great... but i crash in to a wal at 60mph.. nothing was repereble.. sory about the bag einglish i am from Serbija!
Thanks NikolaGnjatovic! Good try on your english. Much better than I can do in your language. Sorry to hear your plane hit a wall. Hope your electronics are still good. Great to hear we have RC FoamFighters in Serbia! Keep on Flying!
@dalotel Stay ancient like you dinosaur fuel powered plane. I have seen multiple electrics much faster than your 105mph. The thing is electrics, as far as brushless go are still pretty fresh on the scene. Give them about 5 years and there will be RTF electrics that smoke your sport there, Sport. Plus these guys only have about $150 total in one of these, motor, esc, batteries, rec, servos, and the building supplies try that with a nitro.
that sounds Cool, what big plane is it that does 130mph? That would be a cool plane to have. Anyway, i never said this plane was the fastest or anything. Just fast for me. I know there are way faster planes. Hoffman Magnetics makes a cool duct fan capable of 175mph. That would be cool to put on a plane. Anyway, breaking 100mph was cool for me, especially since it is completely scratch built, not stor bought stamped out weak styrofoam. Thanks for watching.
i liked your video because i can't make a my own plane that can go over 100 mph. or even fly. or even more 1 in. i failed like 5 times tryin to make one.
Thanks for the comment AIR0JORDAN2315! These planes are a lot of fun and really not too hard to build . We do have free plans for this plane and a couple others on our website, so if you ever want to build one take a look! Anyway, take it easy and thanks for watching and commenting! We appreciate it!
BERELEAH cool you are making your own plane. As for your plane I am not sure all designs kind of very a bit. It will all depend on where your center of gravity lies on the plane. Some planes are ok with the motor way out back. Others, the motor way out there may be to heavy and make it hard to get the CG right. I guess first try and determine where your CG is. Then do a mock up with the parts lying were you think they will go. Adjust till you get the CG right where it should be.
BELELEAH, thanks for the comment. I did it to make it easier to balance the plane and i didn't want anything behind the prop for drag. Also I like trying to centralize the mass, it makes a plane handel a little better. Thanks for watching.
BERELEAH, as it's a scratch build you can use many typess of motors. i would recommend a motor of 300 or more watts. The Super Mega Jet is rated at 400 watts. That and suggest a motor that can turn a 6x5.5 prop or better. As it goes with scratch building, feel free to experiment.
BERELEAH, i got the cockpit a t a local hobby shop. Most Hobby shops carry them. The one on the plane was actually on for an old WWII warbird. I had to trim it down a little with an exacto knife. If you cannot find the clear plastic type you can always carve one out foam and then cover it with black tape. I've made several this way too. Thanks for the comment, good luck!
Thanks for the comment airlinerdude12. The motor on this plane is from Grayson Hobbies. It is the Grayson Hobbies "Super Mega Jet V2" motor. it is a very good and powerful motor for an affordable price. the rest of the electronics were sourced from different places, servos from a local hobby shop, Turingy 40Amp ESc from HobbyCity online and verious other places. We like to take a look at several sources and pick and choose the best deals and best product accordingly. Thanks again.
Thnaks Dad! yeah, we are having a lot of fun designing, making and flying these things. I have some new planes in the works already. Maybe sometime later I'll have to make an F-8 Crusader like you used to work with when in the Navy. i was thinking of making it with the wing that moves like the real plane. We'll see...
Nice plane Pauly. You did a great job with this one once again. Congrats on the 105 mph as well. Hope your next builds go as good as this one did.Tell Humphrey to get crackin on his new one too. I wanna see another 100 mph speed breaker!
Yo Mike-O, thanks for the message man. We need to get you and Chris flying some of these things too! They're a lot of fun. Frank-O is crackin and almost done, he's hoping to maiden flight her tomorrow if the weather is good.
Thanks startazz! These planes really are getting fun and fast. We are really haveing a blast making them and sharing the videos with everyone. Thanks again for commenting and watching startazz, we appreciate it!
Thanks Gezelem2002! We'll do our best to keep making videos and planes that our viewers enjoy. As alway we appreciate you and our other viewers comments and viewing!
Wow... looks like you have that park jet dialed in good with that kind of speed, 105mph! If the X-45C is a couple ounces lighter than this one with a 40 amp motor and you use a 6X4 prop, then I'm guessing 112 mph. I hope its much faster though. LOL. Way cool.
Thanks m43991! Well i just put the free basic plans up on our Blog. See the sidebar for a link. You can build one too if you have the parts and time to make one. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Looks like a terrible scene well this is a really useful clip for all users.thanks!

Hi
Just a little question.
what prop do I need for the park jet?
BERELEAH 2 years ago
BERELEAH, I used an APC 6x5.5 prop on the EPP park jet. That was with a Grayson Hobbies Super mega Jet brushless motor and 2200mah 3S 30C Lipo.
