  • That was interesting and it told me what I wanted to know thanks!

  • its a computer, its a tv, ho my bad its the care bears

  • bruno is waiting for these

  • yeah what a grumpy girl. who would ever want to listen to her reviews.

  • like this little wench actually knows technology.

she needs to get back to reading her cosmopolitan.

    this shirt is luminous.

  • yeah i think it's her time of the month. she's so negative, jezus, she acts like a spoiled bitch.

  • We are working with a factory in China to have this technology out very soon. Check out our other videos of new products coming from China.

  • companhia da luz 55-27-3340-8520

  • Wonderful technology. Awful analysis.

  • very nice

  • nice technology!

  • man the lady doing the interview sounded like a real bitch. its new technology, bitch. u think cell-phones or other shit were made the way they are today when they started. i personally think its a great idea, i cant wait to see them when they are perfected

  • Che figata!

    I said "cool!"

  • Wow, it must be so beautiful to be as enlightened as you. Why don't you go take a bath with a hairdryer.

  • well battery tec is really going threw the roof lately so I am sure phills if they have any bran will update soon

personly I think this tec is asome but it will alsow cuas alot more sezers :)

  • That's awesome, but I really wish the battery was a bit smaller. If only they could partner the tech with Sony.

  • yeah, sony rocks. or is it just the PS series?

  • Video games aside, Sony is a pioneer for battery technology. (among other technology) They've offered quality products long before these current generations of video games, and have worked hand in hand with Philips in the past.

For example, Blu-ray is a joint project between Sony and Philips. I hope they collaborate on this as well.

  • agreed

  • Now that I think about it, let's just hope those batteries are not the exploding type... I don't think I want a battery that large right next to the skin.

  • I really like this idea of technology, it looks cool on furniture. I didn't like the woman reporting, seems like she thinks that phillips was trying to sell the tech to consumers. I don't think phillips was worried about the size of the battery, or battery life, because the people wearing them were being paid, and their satisfaction doesn't matter.

  • agreed

  • Really good

  • Geez man, if you need a lame ass pixelated light shirt to get your GF horny, then you need a new cologne or life or something?

  • Advertisers will pay good money for these. There will be walking billboards everywhere.

  • These examples are novelties but Philips is merely introducing the technology to the world. "light woven into fabric" it's uses range far beyond the applications that are shown here and since the technology is so new, one can only predict where it will be in a few years. this is the kind of invention that changes our everyday lives and becomes a standard part of our culture in a relitively short amount of time.

  • Cool wow amazing i want one hehe really cool and i live to buy gadgets this would be awsum to go to partys in give my mate somethong to talk about hehe

  • jeez that news report lady sure put a downer on it. besides, i dont think ppl would wear that to school. the schools would probably band them anyway. like said before the shirts would probably b better for night activities or raves i agree with them

  • well this shirt actaully ahs many appliactions, as pointed out before,it could be used by cyclists, help construction workers be seen, home decor, I think it's got a market.

  • These replies are a perfect example of why Youtube sucks.

  • Well you know what i think. I think its going to cause cancer...like everything else we create.

  • I see this really working for policemen at night, cyclists (as mentioned before), boaters, any kind of night activity...hell even a rave. I think the fact that it's super pixelated makes it even cooler. Why does everything have to be so perfect these days.

But then again, can anyone say "litebrite" mmm pretty colours.

  • the intro was almost longer than the actual report.

  • I think this lumalite fabric could be a cool combination with those shirts with pictures on it. Image a shirt that has a picture of a city on it and all the windows on the buildings and cars were lit up. Or maybe, for those that know the band Disturbed, they had the face of their mascot on a shirt and its eyes lit up. Kick ass :D

  • Well, the battery only lasts 4 hours and is funky, and there's no purpose, and it makes you warm... she's right, I think it needs some work. Very amazing though. I remember 2 years ago or maybe even more I heard about shirts with a camera on the back and LED's on the front that show what's behind you.. so it's like a $500 shirt that makes your torso nearly invisible. But I haven't heard of it since. STILL, this is a good video.

  • I think the military is doing research on that idea

  • could be good at a rave!!! , those people on E's get off on bright colours. "yer man, i can see the music"

  • pretty soon , they'll be using t-shirs as a TV screen.

  • Hmmm...so THIS is what people are spending money on these days when it could be used to find a cure for CANCER or something that can actually benefit the world. No...they make light-up fabric.

  • Well, remember computers started out really big, and bulkly, a whole room ffor only 16k. No not 16MB or 16GB, just 16k. So, it is a start. However, the last thing I need in my life is one more blinky thing to distract me...I think I will get one that says, this shirt is dumb.

  • Geeze they could sell more battaries that way

  • that would be awesome for cyclists at night.

  • i hope they ,ake shirts wit games lol imagine if a skool said these shrirts are not allwed in skool

  • I don't think that gramar is allowed in "skool".

  • dont worry when they figure out how to connect them to the internet, you peeps wont be saying this is dumb.hey they laughed at bill gates too.

  • dont worry when they figure out how to connect them to the internet, you peeps wont be saying this is dumb.hey they laughed at bill gates too.

  • i want one that says fuck you

  • Undies? that'd be fun! lol ^_^

  • being different... same reason there's any pictures at all on shirts

  • the thing is they are bad at the moment ..but with technology changing all the time im sure before you know it (if this idea catches on) they would of made it more comfy and last longer..we will just have to wait and see i guess

  • i don't care about lumalite...the shirt looks REALLY hard and bulky- despite the battery. the pixels are gigantic, and i can see these shirts getting really annoying, really fast.

what happened to spending out money on discovering the cure for..like..what's that thing called...umm..AIDS!

  • u probably gots aids the y finally made summtin cool to wear and you jus dis on it go f ur self

  • wish i had a watch placed on my sleeve made from lumalite lol

  • Since there is only 4 hours of power to the LEDs, there really is no sense in using it...

  • ...not for the moment. But it looks hella promising!

  • So, how do you wash something like this? Obviously I figured that this would be the case. I watched the other review that was soully "good" based and this review was great because it made the point that it only ran for 4 hours. Why would I wear a shirt that could only be cool for 4 hours at a time? lol Also...are they re-chargable? What would be the cost for a shirt like this...and...would it be comfortable to wear a shirt like this?

    - Drea

  • Im guessing the Furniture is running by house electric, which in that case, its brilliant, why dont the t-shirts work useing solar energy, that way the shirt wont have many resrictions, Personaly i think phillips could make that sort of stuff and when the t-shirt runs out of energy you could charge it in the sun, afterall you will only really see it in the dark!!

  • beutiful

  • I think that the review of this new technology by miss fabienne was well rounded and not the usual overhyped sycophantic reviews you can sometimes find. The technology is intersting, but i for one would not want to wear that battery pack with a spare for long evenings. It will be good to watch the technology improve though. P.S the couch was cool

  • Thanks Absana. I'm not sure why you think my review was horrible, but the reality is that this technology is still quite bulky and the resolution of the pixels is just not high enough to warrant the stiffness of the fabric that results. I build and design interactive devices and wearables so this is from the point of view of someone who has been thinking about how to smartly integrate electronics into flexible materials for quite some time. Thanks again for your comment.

  • where can you buy lumalive or obtain a sample ?

  • but you have to remember that it's still in the early stages, which is why you think it "doesn't warrant the thickness" but look at graphics of games and the price...they've gotten impressive but the price has been relatively* the same as when they were little squares moving around on the screen. Now you would say the old systems didn't warrant their old price by today's standards

    *PS3 and Xbox360 excluded
