  • what mics where you using here? brand and model?

  • @McDrummmer4live Thanks!! Appreciate that!

  • Holy shit on the tits of a dog, nice sounding kit!!!

  • @LetsGetHighOnMorris I truly 'lold' at this comment.

  • really nice producing man!

  • @LukesDrumsOnline Thank you, I work mostly as a mastering engineer so it was fun trying to take it all the way through.

  • bell/tom/snare fill at 1:05 is awesome!

  • @AAMetalXJON Thanks!

Saludos y sigue adelante!

  • That snare sounds amazing!!!

  • @benjewboynett Thanks!!

  • @benjewboynett Thanks. Pretty simple to get that sound. Evans G2 Coated on top, Evans Hazy 300 on bottom. Just tune to a mid level pitch, not too high. Match the pitch on both heads. It will be big and wide open.

  • Pretty simple and some draggy fills.. And repetitive.. Cool drumset is cool!

  • @raaayxsdx3 Thanks for watching and for your comments.

  • this is fucking sick!!

  • Thanks for posting this. Makes me want to get back into making my own tracks as well. Well done. Getting this set in black sparkle fade very soon. Bass drum is astounding. I have an AA Raw Bell Dry Ride. I want to hug it sometimes.

  • @kevrod71 Awesome! I love the MCX in the Black Sparkle Fade. So pretty!!!

The RBDR series by sabian is by far one of the best lines of ride cyms ever!

Thanks for check out the vid!!!

  • which snare u use sounds great?

  • @ricardoieci I have the Pearl Free Floating Copper 6.5x14 with a G2 Coated on top and Evans Hazy 300 on the reso side. I really like that drum.

  • Is this on iTunes? this is fuckin great man, Love the playing!! is that also you on the other instruments?

  • @TheCanadianGrape Thanks! Appreciate the comment. Yeah, I noodle on guitar and bass a little but far from what I would consider to be good at it. It is not on itunes but if you would like a good quality mp3, just PM me and I'll get it posted so you can download it.

  • Snare sounds beaut! Nice job!

  • good sound!!nice!!

  • im curious, what makes this kit diffrent to the other pearl master mcx series?? may sound like a stupid question but i dont know LOL

    amazing sound btw :)

  • @uhaveachode1 Thanks. The finish on the kit is a limited edition. They only offered, I think, 300 kits. Apart from that it is the same as the standard MCX.

  • look at that kick assing snare drum !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great stuff young man. What Evans heads do you use? I use the new G plus clears on mine.

  • @2010ditta Thanks! I use the G2 Clears on toms, G2 Coated on snare, hazy 300 for snare reso.

  • That fill at 3:11 - 3:15 was sooooo smooooooth

  • in the pocket! NICE sounds.

  • @verveshawn Thanks! Much appreciated.

  • Not a huge fan of the snare or the track (liked the bit in the beginning with the keyboard though), but DAMN that kit sounds amazing! Love the toms, that sound is exactly what I'm looking for. Also the hats are killerrr! After listening to this I'm seriously considering buying a pair of those :) Great video man!

  • ah...crap this kit sounds amazing but too expensive )=

  • Holy shit! Your toms sounds awsome!!! I think the clear evans are the best for these drums. Great performance!

  • Jesus Holy Christ, your toms sound killerrrrr! How do you tune them? Nice backing track BTW

  • @electrizer Thanks! I tune the top head and bottom head to matched frequencies. So if the top head is a F# then I tune the bottom to F#. The 10 and 12 are tuned fairly high compared to the average pitch that most would choose. Hope that helps.

  • How much did the kit cost? It sounds absolutly amazing! :D

  • i love the beat

  • i really like wood snares, i can only like those, but ye, nice recording man, good work, i really like your cymbal set, real simple yet characteristic

  • @morroida9966 Thanks!!!! I really want to get a nice maple or oak snare soon.

  • i realy like wood snares, i can only like those, but ye, nice recording man, good work, i realy like you cymblas set, real simples yet caracteristic

  • Very nice. Your drums sound Killer!

  • Nice playing!! Great kit!! Are those Evans EC2's? Again,AMAZING!!

  • @irishdrummergirl100 Thank you!!! The toms are Evans G2 Clear over Ambassadors. The kick is the factory Powerstroke3. The snare is a G2 Coated.

  • ur toms sound absolutely amazing

  • @MrZakkuri Thank you!!

  • this is asome.your great.

  • @pamzjazz Thanks!! Really appreciate the comment.

  • this is asome.

  • That was amazing!!!!!!!

  • sexy sounding snare =)

  • Nice playing dude. Those Pearls sound awesome. What snare drum are you using? BTW, I am picking up a mapa burl kit this weekend which includes the deep snare. Can't wait!

  • yee yee sabian cymbals dats wassup

  • Sounds absolutely class mate

  • nicee job bro wut kind of ride cymbal is tht

  • dude you kill those drums! nice kit :)

  • KILLER SNARE SOUND!!!

  • Well done and great mic-ing.

  • @kengolfnut Thanks! Much appreciated!

  • are the toms fixed on the bass drum?

  • @erlachersaufglubb No, the kick is a virgin kick. I have the toms suspended on a Pearl T-2000 tom stand.

  • Are the toms fixed on the bass drum?

  • How do you like the Evo crash? I'm not sure if I should get the 16" or the 17"

  • @AHeroWithin I would pic the 17 personally. I like bigger crashes as they have a bit darker tone. The only thing with the Evo's are the fact that they are so thin that they travel a lot after you whack em.

  • @randyrossdrums Yeah the only thing is it needs to blend well with my 17" AAXPlosion which is why i might go for the 16" since it's higher pitched.

  • satisfied with your kit? how much did you pay for it? =)

  • Ok thanks!

  • Would you recommend the 20" APX crash?

  • @razorkick4321 Yeah, the APX 20" Crash is a bit darker than the smaller versions. It is a nice weight, size, and tone for washing on. Really nice tones and not as over powering as you would expect from such a large cymbal. I really enjoy playing it.

  • what heads are on the toms

  • @drummer4life54 Evans G2s on top and Remo Ambassadors on bottom.

  • @randyrossdrums great combination!

  • those toms! sound awesome!

  • sick kit man, sounds goood!

  • the songs awesome but the kit is better!!!!

  • Nice Work! Sounds Incredible!!

  • Great video... we've added it to our social networking sites! Thanks for playing Pearl!!!

  • you should see/hear his Sessions in storm cloud -- stunning kit
