I see no wrong in this. He's just using the verse to give a realistic feel to the song, and correctly portray Sinhala wedding traditions. To the people who whine about this : get a life and know what you're talking about. A simple verse used in a song does not tarnish the image of Buddhism.

What daddy is trying to portray in his video and song is about the struggles two people in love went through and they eventually get married.
