people slander the papal system
there are many catholics who pray to saints which is wrong but not all catholics participate in this idolatry
people place the popes picture on there wall and pray at it, the pope is not the vicor of christ,
just like ellen white catholics have the pope who makes untrue statements about salvation

I really believe that the Catholic CHurch put too much attention on MARY. There doctrine on works is over the top. Works are a result of Salvation not to obtain it. Very Simple..God Wants ALL of you/me first then after we are Born Again it is time to Help Others be saved Being led by the Spirit and Prayer THE Catholic CHurch does has the RIGHT VIEW OF THE PERSON AND NATURE OF JEUS CHRIST and GOD. The relationship within GOD Between a Father a Son and the Holy SPirit.

The "attention" we give Mary as you call it is a fraction of what kind of attention God gives her. We simply follow in Jesus's footsteps and honor His mother as he did. I feel sorry over the fact you can't grasp this. Works are the result of grace, not being "born again". Faith working in love is the Catholic position. If you have no works, your faith is dead.

There appear to be a great many misconceptions regarding the Catholic Church. Perhaps one of the most pervasive of these myths is the alleged anti-science views of the church during the Middle Ages. For those interested I would recommend reading Thomas E. Woods book, "How the Catholic Church Built Western Civilization."
