Well put it this way my car is 18 years old and the engine has never been apart. it has done 43,000 miles which i know isnt very much but I know people with Skylines and Imprezas whos engines have blown with far less miles. Trick is only use MINERAL OIL, change it as often as you can, never let them overheat or run low on water and warm the engine up before driving it hard.

@meddalion2007 the apex seal go out at around 68,000 miles ive got an auto one
but the motors are better than pistons.just replace the seals and treat it like what
it is A RACE CAR and drive it in the summer..and garage it like any other hot rod :)

Correct it is a 1992 FD RX7. May 14th 1992 to be precise.
It is the oldest FD in the UK and is genuine UK Spec NOT AN IMPORT
Only mods are De-cat and Apexi power FC ECU re-mapped

Its producing 55 BHP more than it did from the factory. Just makes a nice difference

yes it is, thats rwhp not flywheel hp, a stock rx-7 would be around 200hp at the wheels.

Its running around 0.9 bar. It is a very good map by Hayward Rotary here in the UK.

Yes but you wouldn't get to 195Mph on the road due to wind drag. The car standard will do 169Mph.

just for the record, i ran over 175mph on my fd racing with a dodge charger v8. didnt even noticed how fast im goin till i looked on speedometer.
