Very happy with the launchpad. can program keyboard keys to trigger things and can use user 1 to play midi instrument. However user 2 will not let me assign midi pads to triggers etc like it does in this video. Can't assign in the midi mode. Is there something I am missing?

is it possible to connect the xy midi cc changing from the launchpad to other hosts and vstis??? So can i use the this under cubase to controll a filter or something like that???

@flexfm This is not possible by default, however you could use MIDI remote scripts to assist you with this. I would advise searching online for assistance with this, perhaps via various music forums such as KVR Audio or Gearslutz. DJ Tech Tools also have a number of helpful solutions for Launchpad users.

If I choose USER 1 and try to map the filter as u do, the step of the filtering are different from yours. I can only work with USER 2 if I wanna fade something cause in USER 1 the steps of the buttons are too high.

Unfortunately, I am having a very basic problem wherein my launchpad no longer can turn the "device" or effect on with just a tap. In fact, if I program one of the user mode buttons to turn the device on or off (like you have done in this video), the effect will only turn on for a millisecond and turn back off. Any thoughts on what might be happening?

@haikuluke Can you ensure you are using the latest version of Live? It's possible that some other device is interfering or you have some sort of MIDI loop. Try a new Live set with no other MIDI devices connected. Ensure that you have your MIDI/sync preferences set correctly.

The lack of feedback here is not a bug. The visual feedback must be set up in Live and switched on. In the promo video it had been switched on, whereas here, it had not.

i purchase the lauchpad a week ego and it is fantastic!!! love it!!! but when i map the EQ'S "Hi and Lo" nubs on live to the lauchpad it jumps from 0 to 20 then 60 when i try to adjust the eq levels of a track using the lauchpad , not a smooth increment in value to the eq nob...i will be really great full for any help witch im 100% secure the i doing something wrong here...

This is due to how the note numbers are laid out in user 1 mode (in blocks of 4 x 4 for control of drum racks). If you use user 2 mode and assign the control across a row of buttons, you should find that the EQ should be controlled uniformly.

Please ensure that you are using the latest software from the Ableton website. If you continue to experience problems, please contact Novation support and they'll be happy to help.

I get a bug where when I play note with a drum rack and with the visual feedback. the light stays on after i release the note. Its really annoying

This is indeed a bug with Live 8.0.8. Please upgrade to Live 8.0.9 and your problem should be resolved.

its a pitty that when you assign a row of buttons (continously) to a parameter like a dry/wet or something, you dont get any feedback of the amount.

however im sure they will fix it with further updates
