  • worlds softest snow

  • Its a full trip version of the trip edge Fisher whitch are both copies of the orignal Blizzard 810.

  • @jmac5058 finally someone who knows what they are talking about

  • basically a Fisher XLS

  • cool! I wasn't a fan of the white color that the BLIZZARD POWER PLOW came in, so I'm glad that this is the exact same thing, just in red ;D

  • Dear Santa....

  • I'm not even in the market for a plow but this looks like a good one! Nice video!

  • Thats not typical snow...just sayin

  • @habart30 your right its too dry!

  • cnt wait putting one of these on my cummins

  • i like hydolicts better

  • carry more snow and burn through transmissions like nothing!

  • So with the chain I'm guessing you can't back-drag

  • Or you could just get a Hummer and the front end of your vehicle will make a good snowplow.

  • actually western was the first to use this design do the research

  • @pmarci0781 You sir are incorrect. Blizzard was the pioneer of the expanding wing moldboard. They were originally manufactured in the U.P. of Michigan. Douglas Dynamics (corporate owners of Western/Fisher) bought the company in order to own the patent. Direct from Blizzards website: "Blizzard pioneered the expanding moldboard technology, and today manufactures a full range of high-performance heavy-duty and light-duty snowplows that fit a wide range of vehicles."

  • mines broke the 3rd time i use it lol, had to put new crews to hold the blade

  • That is some unbelievably powdery snow.

  • stole it from fisher XLS

  • @Kolbalt6 Actually Douglas Dynamics Are The makers Of Western , Blizzard, And Fisher plows And They Use The Same Types Of Plows But Different Brands

  • Blizzard had these for years, I've owned several since 01. Gotta love corperate aqusitions.

  • lame that snow is sooooo soft do it when its ice thats what i want to see

  • Nice firewood collection

  • @32timmer1 lol

  • this thing costs 6 Gs thou

  • junk of a plow from the stats on consumer reports. your 8 dollar shovel from walmart will last longer

  • Just more stuff to break in the middle of a storm.

  • I wanna see it with wet heavy snow.

  • hmmm the whole video shows it not clearing it down to the pavement

most demanding conditions shows it in dry fluffy snow lol

I do like the mount setup system & going back to chain lift

  • id like to see a f250 push the amount of snow as reliably as that GMC did and will for many years to come

  • nothing beats sno way 29 r look it up just got mine today

  • awesome snow plow

  • this plow looks very good

    are they available in montreal???

  • i want to se that blade work in heavy snow, this clip just shows powder snow, to remove powder snow you can use a heavy duty air blower even :P

  • this is insane

  • are these as good as this vid claims? do the side pieces you can move to change the width break very often? how much for this system?

  • that is cool

  • Only $6000 on ebay...! Does it come with the truck? LOL!!

  • is it all metal or is the blade fiber glass or plastic what ever those older western polws are?

  • @2066241 Blizzard blades are all steel moldboards, using 11 gauge steel for the moldboard and 12 ga. for the "wings". All companies offer poly (high density polyethylene) moldboards, which imo are much better then steel. The poly prevents snow from "sticking" to the moldboard, although it still does occur although less frequently. Hope this helps.

  • in Norway you wouldn't get far with such a snowplow. In Most parts snow is heavy, wet and salty

  • What do you guys use to plow?

  • @yu2be07 one of the ploughs used are the "AM-Teho" (the big ones)

  • i want one so bad but i live in ga lol but might make trip up north for fun n plow out friends n family back home in upstate ny

  • lol

  • I love my chevy 2500HD!! NEVER had a problem with it...84,000 miles and climbing!

Got 83,000 miles out of the original brakes and rotors!!! AMAZING!!!

  • @yu2be07 I have a 98 Silverado with 107000+ miles, still on the original brakes.

  • answer; any full sized 4x4 truck thats kept up on maintenance works good for plowing!

  • when u say full sized do you mean 1500 and up

  • I mean dodge ram's. f-150's and up and silverado's. cant plow very well with a explorer, dakota or s-10, tracker. i should have put this in reply to question below to miked9372.

  • thanks man, i was debating on a new f-150, sierra or tundra any suggestions?

  • @braposo23 f-150 no doubt!!!!!!!

  • only reason y i,m kinda drawn away from the f-150 is my brothers got one and me and him always go at it, i dont want him to be like ur a copy cat lol

  • then get an f-250 lol all the better for plowing!!!!!!!!!

  • @2066241 the frod f series are alot better to plow with in the snow

  • @sexyzack1997 When you get tired of replacing ball joints and having numerous other steering problems with you Super Duty you will switch to Chevy or GMC like I did. Trust me, you will be much happier.

  • @2066241 the ford f series are alot better to plow with in the snow

  • @2066241 nah.... dodge cummins 24v

  • @allmopars I disagree. I owned a Dakota with a Meyer TMP-7 series Poly and that little truck did just as well as any full size. Also, when doing narrow drives, it was much easier to maneuver then my 3/4 ton with 7'6 Western Poly Pro was.

  • @Sorg616; its just personal needs, if your like me plowing commercial lots here in Michigan your dakota wouldnt be able to keep up plowing big ass parking lots with 18" of snowfall. I would like to see what happens to your dakota when you angle your plow and try plowing a parking lot with 5" of wet snow, I know I have seen it your truck wont be able to go in a straight line after a few passes since it is so light. Im sure it could do it just a little trickier, need more weight,

  • @allmopars Actually I did do commercial lots with the truck, a couple smaller church parking lots and many drives. One was located in Grand Rapids. It plowed heavy wet snow quite well actually. Of course I did have 420#'s of ballast to counter the blade weight. After the tranny went out, I moved up to a K2500 R.C. L.B. and a 7'6 Western Poly Pro. I did mention that in my comment, just not in chronological order. And finally, I do live in Michigan!

  • try testing that up here in the far north of Ontario, where GM is well known and used..lol..Western James Bay.

  • a blazer or jimmy??? i get better results with a peterbilt or kenworth

  • The Western Plow company should test out plows up here in Newfoundland. The snow that falls up here isn't like the snow in this commercial. Up here, the snow is wet and heavy most of the time. My dad always used Western Plows on his 4 wheel drives. What genius in the car companies thought it was a good idea to use coil springs on a 4X4. Solid front axles and leafs are the best. The best truck to plow with is something with a short wheel base, a Blazer/Jimmy, Ramcharger, or short box trucks..

  • what kind of truck is good for plowing?

  • older truck with solid for axles with a few leafs added to take the weight

  • GMC

  • great blade.

  • 9 minutes of advertising?????

  • nah not a ford but the boss part yeesss

  • that would have been so much better if it was a ford and a boss snowplow

  • lol ya i agree!

  • and i think you are a retard... it's just my right of an opinion ;)

  • lucky, nice there

  • btrc that was an ignorant thing to say. Youre dumb

  • you are a fucking idiot. There is a regulator on all plows that allows you to adjust the speed of the hydraulics... please keep your little noob mouth shut. You are 12 yrs old and cant even drive a truck without a plow. N00b fgt

  • I have been looking at the plow. How much do they go for?

  • Excatly, $5,883.00.

  • Not too badf

  • i gues not...lol

  • how much are they?

  • Wow, thats probably the best snowplow money can buy !

  • First Fisher and Western are owned by Douglas Dynamics. Douglas Dynamics purchased Blizzard plows which was the first company to manufacture these plows so that they could manufacture and sell them as western and fisher.

  • its an xls painted red or the xls is a wideout painted yellow, wichever came first

  • Western was first to make this design. Then FISHER bought out Western, and took the design of the Wideout. FISHER used that design, and called it the XLS!

  • i wonder if this would be better than a V plow?

  • no my dad got one the v plows are more versitile and easier to manouver aorund tight spots!

  • your dads V plow cant move as much snow as this unit, V's are nice going down the road, but this thing will kick a V plows ass where i counts, and thats movin snow

  • im going to be honest here im not saying either are bad i mean every plow has it's pro's and cons but I beleive the V Plow's are more for curved and tigt areas where the wideout can clearly move more in large places(empty parking lots) but if your plowing schools and travelling alot v plows are better becaue the v is better on gas(more aero-dynamic) and can be moved in the perfect position which i like:)

  • i didnt know you get paid to have a more aerodynamic shape

Lets see. The wideout can move more snow than a V, your going to burn most of your gas moving snow (not driving around with your plow up) if you can move MORE snow with one plow than the other than youll burn up less fuel if your more efficient.

V plows have advantages on traveling but thats about it.

  • yea but your using the same amount of gas becuase you move more snow(burn more gas) in fatser time as move less snow(burn less gas) in a longer time so it evens out there fore v plows are better but stay in your opinion because it seems you have money to burn on fuel

  • you just dont get it.

the wider the plow the fewer the passes the less fuel burned

traveling with the plow your differences in fuel economy is negligible therefore moving more snow more efficiently is better, but you go ahead and keep on with the antiquated V plows, they sure are cute.

  • is there something wrong with you? how old are you? 10 calling a plow cute cause your jealous you didn't invent it! and be rich wich you never will be and dont tell me some bullshit story that your rich ive herd it all before

  • ur a moron u use less gas when u learn how mpg works out call me

  • your the retard miles per gallon has to do with how many miles per gallon you get out of a gallon nothing to do with how much power you use to move snow retard the rpm has a better chance of telling you which uses less fuel and thats still way and my way is logical

  • so put pro wings on the v.

  • thats why i love a gmc

  • boy you better have a strong heavy truck for that baby

  • awesome
