So was Del Close. When Del was writing for DC Comics for a horror series comicbook called WASTELAND,Del told a story about a accidental eye injury done to him by his housecat while playing with his cat,the night before he was to act in "Beware! The Blob",and Del was in much awful unbearable pain,he took painkillers and was stoned while playing a hobo in the film.
