She's stretching, at that stage of her career, her voice to the limit, but it's highly dramatic and convincing. And besides, she's a beautiful Lady, and an extremely communicative artist. Thanks for posting.

I only recently was introduced to the voice of Eva Marton...Wow...Thank you for posting! this is stunning, and she's so happy at the end of her performances ^_^

I didn't know she sang this well at this time. She sounds better and steadier here than in Elektra (1989) and Frau(1990)

That is probably the most squarely on pitch I've ever heard her sing the final high C - she looks so happy that it came out so well! Great performance.

I was in the orch,the whole performance was great indeed.Mostly(IMHO)her touching Isolde Liebestod,the first time I ever heard that Wagner by her.

Listen to the the one from 1983 in Vienna where they tune higher! This is fabulous!
