Intel i7 970 - Unboxing

i know nothing about hardware trends and releases really, but is it a bad time to buy this i7 970 this month, from a price drop perspective. will it drop in price really soon or what's your thought. just wanted to check, it's a lot of money still today and don't want to see intel release a whole new line of processors a week after I've just bought this one :D

Couldn't help but to overhear you say you don't recommend this for gaming yet when i asked intel about their best processor for gaming they recommended this and sent it my way nicely.

its better than most processors but not by that much.

check that website for the benchmarks. Remember that there is a huge price margin between the quad and the hexa so think about if your willing to spend the extra money!

@Drebln893 not even the 990X is for gaming because none of the games out there now use the power of six core exept photoshop and stuff. Currently games use the power of the quad but hopefuly in the future they will start using six core

@Drebln893 well here is the thing about councels.. The gaming industry if they made a version for a counsel it will be completely different from PC version because of there slow old DX9 while PC uses DX11. So the PC advancement could be slow to let the consoles catch up with PC. Until the next gen consoles like PS4 or Xbox 720/360 2 are realised

I recently got this CPU and was wondering if I should use the fan included or continue to use my Thermaltake Big Typhoon cooler with 120mm fan. I don't plan on overclocking. Your thoughts on this would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Dude. HONESTLY. So professional and amazing with the unboxing. Honestly, I don't know but I've watched HUNDREDS (yes I know, I have no life) of unboxings, and none of them come close to what you have here. This is simply and epic unboxing. I like your video's but unless you got a hell of a deal on the i7 970 ,you should have bought the 980x , it's less than 15% more in Cost and is a much better CPU , I just read a couple of reviews ,they all think the i7 970 is a Dud!..

Hey Jessie! nice man, but i recommend a little more control of your focus! If using t1i, stand back a little to get the image in focus, if that canon sx1 then there must be manual control setting somewhere! Otherwise, nice vid!
