your right this wasnt the bukai the bukai is both sides doing moves and 1 of them doing the moves from the kata the the other doing the opposite move.

Bun = part or portion + Kai is a 'counter'..

Oyo = O-jimasu - respond to + Yo = use..

for Oyo shimasu - put to use, apply..

teaching, training, grading depending on grade, experience etc, may require a single technique, or full segment, or extensions to

variations.. with or without attacker..

all, being 'bunkai'..
