Give me a break. The talking she did during the song wasn't any different then most bands. Hell, a lot of bands will stop playing altogether and talk. The band played on while she ranted which related to the lyrics of the song.

i just don't like that she drinks before most of the shows. it kind of makes her unbelievable. i don't know how much she did it during Metric, but it's obvious she did sometimes. I've just heard a lot of stuff about it at solo shows and how shes completely wasted and/or high. i don't like that.

but, metric is my favorite band, so i don't complain too much.

I can't believe how much I love this video. I mean, seeing this song live is incredible, but this performance blows me away. I realize her rants aren't really improvised anymore, but they still sound incredible and spontaneous. She's a great performer, that Emily Haines. Great energy from all of them. Love this band.
