I'm not looking to judge it or anything, just loking for clarification. I would like to add that I am happy that you are feeling comfortable with yourself now, finding a way to express your inner self is a uniquely personal experience and I commend you for your courage to be yourself.

@dancer4xlife I know that I'm not Sebastian, but I am a Goth, even though I myself don't look like one. I feel that if you are a Goth, you are someone who appreciates the darker aspects of life. Many are into the physical asthetics of it all because, well, let's face it, black looks great on almost everyone XD. But its more about finding dark things beautiful. People are goth because they can't think for themselves and do not have any individual identity. Find out who you really are. Don't pick a trend or a clique that you "best" fit into. I consider myself a Goth when it comes to my personality. I believe that being a Goth-or really anything in regards to who you are-is something that only matters on the inside. I have a rather dark personality, my humor is somewhat crude in nature, I'm heavily reliant on writing stories and poetry to maintain sanity; but on the other hand, I don't look the part, and I certainly don't listen to dark music. It's all about the mind.
That's the same thing about my hair! I have pink hair because I love it, I feel happy and beautiful with my pink hair and I am NOT doing this for attention. People ask me from what kind of "culture" I am, and it's just not like that, I just like pink hair, slipknot and britney spears, that's just who I am. @dancer4xlife I know that I'm not Sebastian, but I am a Goth, even though I myself don't look like one. I feel that if you are a Goth, you are someone who appreciates the darker aspects of life. Many are into the physical asthetics of it all because, well, let's face it, black looks great on almost everyone XD. But its more about finding dark things beautiful. We appreciate the sadder parts of life (while trying not to dwell on them too much) because it's what makes us human. Hope this helps! :)

@dancer4xlife it's a type of beauty, art, and music. usually dark, but it's mostly beautiful and the people who see it are they way they are. there's nothing wrong with being goth except making others feel uncomfortable because they aren't being themselves. goths wear and do and see what they want... and don't care what others see, because negativity is destructive to your mind. so goth is basically a mindset. some people are, some people aren't. that's why some ppl stay goth.

How often do you see goths walk down the road? People are goth because they can't think for themselves and do not have any individual identity. Find out who you really are. Don't pick a trend or a clique that you "best" fit into. Make your own trends, be who you want to be and not part of the group, because yes, goth is a group or a clique like everything else. Do your own thing no matter what people think of you, you'll be much happier.

I consider myself a Goth when it comes to my personality. I believe that being a Goth-or really anything in regards to who you are-is something that only matters on the inside. I have a rather dark personality, my humor is somewhat crude in nature, I'm heavily reliant on writing stories and poetry to maintain sanity; but on the other hand, I don't look the part, and I certainly don't listen to dark music. It's all about the mind.

Im almost at the point of tears by the middle of this short video. oh my gosh. i feel the same way. i just wish i were you. my parents don't accept the way i want to dress. i love dark colours and i wear them as much as i can, but the most i can go on a daily basis is a black shirt, and black eyeliner. im not even allowed black pants, black eyeshadow, lipstick, any of it. :( stand strong, and be yourself. i'll be able to dress the way i want to when i leave home. thank you so much for the video
