  • When you acquired 215, 220, 223, 512, and some other episodes, was the Cbs version of 302 included?

  • Yes, it was.

  • why are so many people commenting on the fire siren going off at night?? If my house was on fire and I was trapped I'd want the entire neighborhood to know so someone could save me, peoples lives are in danger who gives a f*** if it wakes someone up!!

  • He should have just jumped out the window. He might have sprained or even broken a bone or 2, but he still would have been more likely to live. Also, he should have had working smoke detectors, and the wall outlet should not have been overloaded. Overloaded outlets are most likely to short out.

  • why can't he jump out the window? just push the screen out

  • and at 1:33 he not at out .

  • at 3:11 and 3:19, you can hear the house siren in the background. the house siren are to alert volunteer firefighters to the firehall and it also alerts residents that an emergency is taking place and that volunteers will be arriving. but what i DONT get is why the fire siren would be activated even after midnight.

  • our sirens are shut off at ten but our horns are still on but if we get a fire we turn the sirens on

  • Sounds like an STH-10

  • its actually the q on the truck..but your right it does sound like a siren at the firehall

  • @videomaster110 our siren sounds any time we have a fire call. Why would you turn it off?? That's just dumb, so what if you wake up people, people's lives are in danger.

  • 1:15 the fie looks fake

  • and at 0:54 the smoke looks fake. Scary to think smoke can spread like that in your home.

  • @UtopiaUK that's because it is. they just create this stuff to recreate the fire for the show.

  • they wouldnt say the dispatcheres name due to condifidental reasons lol im a fire fighter myself and i know they dont unless they have to

  • that guy seriously needs a smoke alarm.

  • Hopefully he got one after this happened!

  • Surely the distance from his window to the ground was a bit higher than that in real life. The drop didn't look that far at all.

  • I've heard of a volunteer fire department, as their are ones in my neighborhood, but not a volunteer ambulance

  • We have that kind of service in my area. Company 2 is the La Vale Vol. Fire Dept. while Company 52 is the La Vale Vol. Rescue Squad (Ambulance Service)

  • What is the first dispatcher,s name allgood2000?

  • They don't say.

  • Why dont thay say the first dispachers name?

  • And what is sooooooooo bad about my qustun

  • Why dont thay say the firt disptachers name?!

  • yes he shold have borken the windo and juned out!!

  • paramedci what^?

  • Why didn't he break the window and jump out

  • Excellant!

  • This house looks like a fire trap. I had a neighbor who had his office in the basement and he had papers all over the floor!

  • 3:14-15 looks like a reused shot from #108 "Smoke-filled house".

  • i live in the area and thats their old ladder idk if its the same one thats in the other clip tho. this comment prolly didn't help at all haha

  • what other clip?

  • 3:15 has that classic Q siren we hear in old movies etc.

  • The old federal signal impeller-driven sirens are the best. Very loud and very noticeable.

  • How did Eric know these paramedics?

  • Eric was also a paramedic, and he worked with them.

  • for one thing, that is too many plugs for one outlet, no wonder it shorted

  • lol damn *has an octopus and three power bars coming out of one outlet*

  • Never mind the extinguishers and the folding escape ladder (although they are important.) I hope he had smoke detectors put in after the fire!

  • Thank God he survived, but this is a good incentive to keep an extinguisher and a folding escape ladder in you bedroom.

  • I love NY

  • I just hope he's doing all right these days. He was so young when this happened.

  • I notice one scene on this segment is from the syndication intro of the show. It's at 4:40 i believe.

  • Wow, the idea of even burning myself on the stove seems like a heavenly comparison to this event.

  • Reminds me of the ER show, lol

  • I think all towns should try to make room in their budget to pay their first responders. I understand that these people volunteer because they want to and that's great, but it must be hard for them to basically be working two jobs for half the pay.

  • They probably have a volunteer department, since they can't afford to pay them, however in this day & age it would be nice if they would at least get something to help defray the added cost of gas & maintenance.

Props to the VFD, since the 7 minute response time was outstanding.

  • We don't do this for a paycheck is the thing, we do it just to help the community. I belong to two volunteer fire departments myself and would never ever except money from them. Its really not too hard to do this either, just got to make the time and put in some effort, it is totally worth helping people!

  • I understand and appreciate your view of things. My main point was NOT that ALL volunteers should get paid. I was mainly thinking of those dedicated volunteers living in economically challenged areas where getting some gas money to cover expenses, could mean the difference between being able to continue to volunteer or having to call it quits.

  • well, you are very thoughtful and all, but actually, some jurisdictions do however reimburse volunteers through income tax stuff so we do have those benifits as well for some areas. But yeah, i know what you mean and I appreciate your thoughts, not everyone thinks about us going to calls with our trucks that get less then 15 mpgs! haha :)

  • we actually can get a tax break depending in what state you live in and may be reimbursed for gas

  • That is good to hear!!! :-)

Wish all states would do that!!!

  • What a disturbing 911 call! It must have been painfull for the dispatcher to listen to that man basically choking to death. Did anyone else find this call hard to listen to?

  • The 911 operators are unsung heroes because they have to listen to this kind of think quite often in between crank calls. I know I would never want that job, but thankfully some people do!!!

  • That's creepy- he's my age... kinda makes you think. So what caused this- was there too many things in the outlet (as I've always thought was the reason)?

love the shot of the black smoke rising up from :55-:57

  • You dont need light to determine if he is breathing. Have they ever heard of look, LISTEN, and FEEL???

  • And dont put magazines and newspapers next to the sockets or cords

  • I know right I could have not said it better myself great fire safety tip

  • There's a lesson to be learned from this which is, never overload your sockets.

  • If I were Eric, I would have just jumped out the window. I know it sounds crazy and dangerous but believe me, I would rather have a broken neck or leg than have smoke inhalation or burns and not be alive. Anyway, if you have it, could you put up the segment from this episode where a man suffers a heart attack at a Civil War reenactment?

  • vote on rescue 911 to come out on dvd, go to tvshowsondvd, com and vote ,rescue 911 is up to 435 votes

  • I'm In the Fire Brigade, and believe me this is terrifying for all concerned :(

  • This is perfectly terrifying. Fire is nasty stuff.

  • So far as I know, this ep isn't trimmed. It's the same as the CBS version I have from '91-'92.

  • When Fam cut episodes, they trimmed some segments heavily while leaving others untouched. I think they had to trim from 48 to 44 minutes, so about four minutes of footage got deleted from each episode. You can tell an episode has been trimmed when the "next" previews at the end of the segments are missing.

  • I've always wondered why the next previews at the end of some segments on here are missing. That explains it.

  • where is the shrimp segment and what exactly is that episode have? good vids

  • The shrimp segment is where a girl a prom has a severe allergic reaction to shrimp she ate at dinner. It's segment 4 from Episode 616.

  • o cool. where do u get all of ur videos from anyways. just wondering.

  • thank you so much :) you rock

  • Man, we definately need to owe David (allgood2000)something for his contributions!!!! David just emailed me telling me the shrimp segment is up!!! And the young lady in that segment blew me away!! Hot, super nice!!

  • cool.

  • and if I am right is the red white light shown on the fire engine from this segment used in the syndicated intro?

  • Yes, that's correct

  • the Fire Truck b4 this segment starts on the screen what episode is that from I would like to see it if possable and thanks again for these great shows

  • It's from the baby fire rescue segment on episode 114. It's on youtube.

  • Thank You btw that is a DC Fire Rig Responding right
