Sorry, I'm a huge fan of Death Note, but the lyrics just seem kinda silly to me. I don't think Light's even the type who thinks this deeply; he just does what he does because he can do it.

@lukeguy97 Oh, Light definitely has principles and a mission statement. He's able to distinguish his method from Higuchi's from a vantage point of actual sanity. What he doesn't have is humility, or a venue to make damn sure he has the offender, and by the point he's chosen Higuchi, he's lost his goodwill toward humanity. Caveat 1: Unlike with this song, it is impossible to avoid spoiling your pants off.

Caveat 2: In retrospect, the so-called "final version" was a mistake. Go watch the original version instead; it syncs up and mostly sounds better, too.

Anyway, it's just as anti-Kira, but the lyrics are more lyrical (or more overwrought); the music is more Enya-ish (but the vocals are more amateurish); and it's an AMV.

Mello! He was so freakin' awesome, oh my Arceus. Behind L and Matsuda, he was my favourite. I think. They really went out of their way to give some of the characters real uniqueness. Have you seen Madonna's Mello cosplay? It's in her video for Jump and it's great.

I should totally do a song about Mello. This is a good idea. I might have to read the manga first, though - he totally didn't get enough screentime in the anime.

I have seen it! It was really cool, especially since you don't usually thin of normal celebrities being into things like anime.

Agreed that you should read the manga, though I'll warn you that it's pretty much exactly like the anime, so Mello only gets like one more scene, if I remember correctly. Oh, and he wears a rosary around his wrist and neck in the manga version, which I thought was interesting.
